Sounds like we are going to need a leadership call on this one... Who is the "leader" of this ride :?: I don't care either way Atchison or Wathena I just plan on meeting everyone for lunch then heading home.

Just want to make sure, Where does this run start on river road? Does it start at the very south end or at one of the intersections further north. Also what time should I be there?

I believe the ride actually starts in Lawrence not Leavenworth. I'm not sure what time I will be there because it all depends on where lunch will be.

I will be leading a group starting @ the Burger King in North Lawrence. This ride does not go on the river road this time. I have trimed down the ride to about 180 miles with the hope of getting home before dark. If you want to meet us we will start in lawrence @ 7.30, be in Tonganoxie about 8:10, Easton about 9, Atchinson about 10:30. As you know the further from the start the harder it is to give times due to flats or what ever, so try to meet up with us as early as you can in the ride. Lunch will be in Wathena, maybe 11:30. All times are guesses.

If it rains very much, I will bail out to try it a week or two later. Believe me it's Not much fun wet. Shoot me a e mail if you want the route.

As far as know...the Wolf Brothers are IN for this ride :!: I haven't talked to Troy in the last couple of days so I am not sure where we will be meeting up at yet.
I am looking forward to a Long and Relaxing Memorial Weekend. Remember all of our "Brothers in Arms" serving overseas and do whatever you can to support them :!:

It's not going to be soggy for me cause I'm not going  . Call me a puss, wuss or whatever, but I don't enjoy burned clutches and falling over in slop very much. This ride will be rescheduled, for me anyway. Lots of rain last night with flash flood warning up north. Chance of rain tomorrow, and 40 % chance of thunderstorms for Sat. I take the blame for picking the wrong weekend

That being said, Don't let me stop you if you want to make a try for it. I will be trying to break in my new DR650 on some gravel roads close to home with firm bases to ride on.

Maybe we could try next weekend, but weather isn't looking to good then either. The longer we wait the warmer it will get.

Yeah, that was a soaker around here and it may rain tonight and again tomorrow. I think it'll be best to wait a few weeks after this one.

I hope this ride went well, as I have done it 2-3 times, and it was a tough one every time. I would be interested in doing it soon if someone wants to go.
Has anyone had any experience with the Michelin Bib Mousse? The flat proof tire?
