July 15, 2007 Geocaching Ride

I am planning on going after a number of geocaches on my bike Sunday July 15th. The area I am thinking about going is in the Douglas, Franklin and Osage county.

You don't need to be a cacher to join in. If you are interested in learing about caching and wanting to give it a try this would be a good opertunity.

The ride will be on all types of roads except 4 lane. I don't set up an exact route. I ride from cache to cache taking the roads as they come.

If anyone expresses an interest we can we can figure out when and where to meet.

I live south of Lawrence and would consider tagging along if we can pick a place and time to meet. 785/331/5779

Geocaching is a hi tech treasure hunt. People place caches (treasure) all over the country. Then post the coordinates on a web site. People download the coords into a GPSr and find the treasure.

I enjoy finding the country caches on my bike.

Very cool! Now I just need to save my pennies for a GPS (sounds like a good excuse)

Kids love to go along and "trade" treasure.
