Update

Trail Ride October 15 and 22

For those not familiar this is a single track in the woods and field edges trail located west of Garnett Ks on a 200 acre working farm.

There are also open field for those who want to ride with lots of space and no trees to dodge.
Trails have something to offer for everyone from beginner to seasoned rider. Excellent venue for kids and adults alike. No rocks and scary/dangerous hazards .... but you can get hurt if you try.
For those of you who are familiar with the trails, it is dry enough the creek bottoms are now offering lots of possibilities for off trail riding challenges (fun)

We will have ride waivers for riders to sign.

Can come as early as 9AM and stay as late as you like (dark). Bring a sack lunch ,snacks and water/drinks and enjoy a day on the farm riding with family and friends.

We are located 12 miles west of Garnett Ks. There are multiple places to purchase snacks and etc. as you come through town. The little store just outside of Garnett (yoder store) now 7th street grocery is still there and a good place to stock up with fresh made sandwiches, drinks and etc. It is located just west of Garnett about 2 miles on the road coming to the farm (7th st)

Parking will be the usual spot in the grassy shaded area across the drive east of the windmill.

I plan to be there on the 15th and bringing my 8 year old nephew who asks me every week, "Deda, when are you going to take me trail riding?" We had planned to ride the bird farm last fall but the event got rained out. Little Ben was super-bummed.

I might also come ride on the 22nd, and am glad to have a 2nd opportunity in case the 15th is rained out, etc.

Thanks, Larry!

The only riders to show up yesterday at the bird farm were myself and my 8.5 year old nephew, Ben. Ben has been riding for about 2 years now, and raced his 1st motocross the previous Sunday. He had never been trail riding in the woods, and was choming at the bit!

As the only riders there, Larry guided us around the trails the entire day! We had an absolute blast! It was amazing to watch Ben's improvement from hour 1 to the last hour of the day. He is a natural it seems.

Here are 3 short videos that Larry captured for us!

The trail conditions there were never better with tons of places to play in the creek areas (thanks to the drought). We are hoping to come again this Saturday Oct 22!

Huge thanks to Larry for all the work he puts into the trails and his generosity in sharing his property.
