Lee Garrett is putting on a dual sport ride and campout at his place near Beaumont, KS. If you know Lee, you know his rides will put you in some of the best roads in the area. He is have dinner catered at the camp site Saturday night.

I am going to be there. That is reason enough to go.

I'm not on facebook but I understand you can find more information there.

My brother, Kyle, was in B's Moto Lab (KTM dealer and service shop in Wichita) on Saturday and said "some guy brought in some flyers about a gravel ride". This must be it!

I'm gonna plan on this one, too. Thanks for sharing, Eddie!

As you would expect, the minute I learned of this, I added it to The Calendar.

This is a Google Calendar you can add to your own calendar so events just show up for you.

I have been to the campsite. It is a fantastic place to visit in a very scenic area of the Flint Hills.

I believe a number of my clan will be there. Gonna try trailer camping in practice for the South Dakota ride in June. Thanks for sharing Eddie!

5 days out and so few details published! I don't see any way to communicate or ask questions other than Facebook. I have decided NOT to boycott the event over my hatred of FB. 8-)

Maybe the mystery surrounding the event will boost interest and participation? Maybe it will keep lots of folks away? Maybe there is an active community where folks are discussing this that I just don't know about? (I was surprised to not find a thread on Backroads Touring Kansas for this event...until I just added one.)

I am still planning to pack the camping gear on the F800GS and head down for the weekend!

First post here, Triumph Tiger 800 rider. Really enjoyed this event, and meeting some of the folks here on the forum. A big thanks to Lee for organizing the ride and and camp area, it was a great opportunity to kick off the summer season and build some relationships within our community.

Same! Great meeting you, Josh (and Ante, too). Good times at camp, exploring the property there, sitting around the campfire, and heck, even the gravel road riding! Thanks for snapping that photo, Josh!

Lee's organized/disorganized event was a success. He had a nice turn out. I would guess there were about 100 people there Saturday night.

Lee's property is a great place to have an event like this. I'm guessing there will be more.

Josh and Ante and ? it was nice meeting you and I enjoyed riding with you Sunday morning.

The 3rd guy was John, also from the KC metro--works at Childrens Mercy as I recall.

Great riding with you as well! We very much enjoyed the Sunday ride, as well as the tips and tricks you provided. Lunch at Hays House was excellent and we just had to stop at the Chase County Courthouse.
