2019 Kansas Dual Sport Safari in Garnett, KS

What: A full day riding the backroads and trails of East Central Kansas, featuring regional sites and points of interest. Sign-in at the Friday night social or Saturday morning breakfast served by our local VFW. After the ride we’ll have a great steak dinner served by the Lions Club and enjoy live music at the fairgrounds.
When: Friday-Saturday, May 31-June 1, 2019
Where: We’ll headquarter at the Anderson County Fairgrounds, Garnett
(follow signs). Rides cover Anderson and adjacent counties.
Cost: Register by midnight Wed., May 15, and pay only $80, PLUS get your ride night STEAK DINNER reserved! After May
15 registration $95. (Sorry, since steaks and shirts must be pre-ordered, we can’t guarantee those for late registrations,
but we’ll do the best we can!)

Friday, May 31: 6 p.m.-9 p.m. dinner check-in & social, Maloans Restaurant, 101 W. 4th Ave. in downtown Garnett, cash bar & full dinner menu
Saturday, June 2: 6:30 a.m.-8 a.m. fairgrounds & check-in cont’d and VFW breakfast (included in pre-registration)
8:30 a.m. Choice of roads or trails, head ‘em up, move ‘em out
12 Noon: lunch on the ride, on your own (ride leaders will stop at local eateries)
4:30 p.m. reconvene at fairgrounds in Lake Garnett Park
5 p.m. social, brag & lie
6 p.m. dinner & door prizes
7 p.m. live music
Sunday, June 3: Pick up rides on your own
Where are we located?
Garnett is just north of the junction of U.S. Highways 59 and 169 in east central Kansas, 50 minutes south of Lawrence, 20
minutes south of Ottawa, and 50 minutes SW of Olathe.
Lodging:
• Limited free tent or camper camping at the fairgrounds, short walk to showers. Wilderness camping ($5-$9/
night) & RV hookups ($12-$16/night) available near ride HQ area and at other Garnett city parks. See attached brochure or
contact city hall during business hours at (785) 448-5496.
• Motels: The Kirk House, 145 W. 4th, Garnett. $65/night. Call (785) 448-6500. Garnett Inn & Suites: 109 Prairie Plaza Pkwy, Garnett. Rooms $65-$68/night, RVs $17/night. Call (785) 448-6800. Economy Inn, 604 N.Maple, $49/night, (785) 448-6816. IF YOU HAVE A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO RENT A CABIN IN THE WOODS (ACTUALLY ON THE TRAIL RIDE TRAIL HEAD) ALL THE AMENITIES, SHOWER, 2 KITCHENS BBQ GRILL, BUNKHOUSE, PLEASE CALL BURT PETERSON 913-208-8183 WE HAVE TWO POTENTIAL LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS FOR 9+ THAT WANT TO THROW TOGETHER AND HAVE A TIME!
