It has been hot so not stopping as often and when I do I’m using my camera and not my iPhone often.

This was above the Snake River.

Note the road down by the lake. That was a steep climb up the canyon on a minimum maintenance road. Once on the top of the canyon the road was well graded. That has been fairly consistent.

That is from the top of Lemhi Pass looking east. The trickle of water going down that mountain is the beginning of the Missouri River.

I made it to Fort Clatsop today. The end of my quest. I have now gone from Pittsburgh, PA to Fort Clatsop, on the Pacific coast.

I’m in Astoria, Oregon a view from my room.

Today was a hot day on blacktop going across the high desert of Idaho and Utah. Not a lot of stops but did enjoy the Golden Spike National Park.

On the way to the park was this interesting display of rockets.

I'm home from my 5000 mile trip. I stayed pretty true to the Lewis And Clark's route to the Ocean. From KC to Idaho I was off blacktop more than being on blacktop. In Washington and Oregon it was the opposite.

On my way home I was mostly on State and Interstate highways because of family commitments.

At the Great Fall's of the Missouri I saw this unique site:
