As I recall, Dave, you ride a vstrom? Is that right? So I assume you are thinking of a dualsport/ADV type ride. I assume riding from the metro rather than hauling. Since you didn't say, I assume you mean motel rather than camp? Am I on track? 
My first reaction to an Ozarks ride idea is "YES!", but then logic and life start to take over the conversation! Of course temperature, humidity, and ticks can be brutal down there in July. (Just ask the BMW GS Giants who decided to hold a rally down there in July. Ugh!) As long as you are moving, it's nice on the bike, so stick to roads rather than difficult trails--that's my recommendation for July in the Ozarks!

Love the idea, but already have commitments. Part of the TAT runs through Arkansas. My Son rode it last year and said it was a blast. The GPS tracks are already available so....
