March 18th - Semi Local to Kansas City Ride?

Post by Jamee »

An unexpected day off has popped up - Anyone up for a ride tomorrow?
Haven't had much opportunity to ride this year yet, with new baby and broken wrist.. Not sure how "hardcore" am going to be, but itching to go for a ride..

I've got room in the truck for one extra bike, so no issues providing a ride if someone wanted. Really open on location, been to Oakland a few times, also Perry a few times, so would prefer somewhere new, but really don't care.

edit* - Because I don't seem to know what day of the month it is..

*nods* Ya I looked at the weather.. again, been awhile since I've been able to get out on the bike. So I'll take less then perfect conditions. =)

Anyway, does that mean you wanna go for a ride?

Chadwick - was a great time, weather was great.

Went with Ryno, perfect guy to see it the first time with.. As mentioned above, was nervous, hadn't been on the bike much since broken wrist last fall, new baby, etc. was bit slow and indecisive for the first hour or so, but steadily got more comfortable as the day went on. Not sure how much I was holding Ryno up, but he was a great sport about it all day.

We headed out from my place around 4am, got there early, rode till around 2 I think, just started to sprinkle as we where loading up. That place sure blows away any of the more local places I've seen so far down here, can't wait to go back. The wife mentioned it was cold and some snow in the kc area, but didn't notice any cold issues down there, definitely no snow.

Place was empty, few people coming in as we where heading out.. Again can't wait to go back.
