February 11 - 13 Wherever Weather Permitting

I got the nod from the social coordinator this morning to go riding as long as I am back for Valentines Day. Would love to go to Arkansas to see the elusive single track I could not find on my own in three trips but that requires someone to go with us who knows where it is. Found three bears, but no single track. Otherwise, my son and I will head to Chadwick. Any potential takers?

Are you fluent in GPS and run a unit on your bars, Captain? 8)

I'm not but I do own a hand held Garmin that I think is called the Colorado. I really need to take the time to learn it, but I would be willing to buy one - what did you have in mind? Wait! Are you thinking I give you guys the unit then you take it to Arkansas?

Thanks to a re-scheduled work event, I had to bow out of the ride in NWA this weekend. Weather permitting, I'd be interested in getting my Winter-NWA fix, and the 11th-13th works out well, as I took the entire week off.

Keep me posted as the date gets nearer and we know what the weather looks like.

While I have no personal experience with a Colorado, as I understand, that model will do nicely mounted on the bars for woods riding. My thought was that IF you know how to load tracks on your GPS, and IF you know how to load maps, and IF you have it mounted on your bars, and IF you are comfortable navigating with it......a lot of "IFs", then I'd throw some tracks your way or point you to some folks who have tracks you can load on your GPS. I just don't have time to help you right now more than that.

I have a ton of tracks for the area, and while in my head I know where a lot of the singletrack is, my tracks won't tell you what is singletrack vs ATV trail vs forest road. It's all great riding, though.
