Post by ajayhawkfan »

The KC BMW Motorcycle Club has moved it rally from Linn County, KS to Atchison, KS. The rally is May 29-31. All types of bikes are welcome.

The city has turned over an entire Warnock Lake City Park for our use. You can camp anywhere in the park. For those interested you can find more information here: http://www.kcbmwmc.com/rally2015.htm

I will be leading a GS Ride on Saturday.

Hope to see some of you there.

I mentioned it to one the of guys at the plant who says it sounds like a good time. He bought my buddy's DR650, I assured him he won't be shunned.

As long he takes his colors off before arriving he will be welcomed. We don't want a replay of Waco.

I can use your help.

This rally has always been in Linn County, KS for the past 30 + year. This year it was moved to Atchison, KS. Please attend if you can to help make it a success.

The city has turned the entire Warnock Lake Park for our use. You can camp anywhere in the park. That includes chili Friday night until it runs out and a nice catered dinner on Saturday night.

There will be shuttles between the campground and to nice new showers at the YMCA.

If you don't want to come to the rally please swing by the city and check out the small bike show downtown where you can park your bike in walking mall with a coat and helmet check run but the Boy Scouts.

I'm leading a dual sport ride and will be back at the campgrounds around 2:00. At 3:00 there will be the bike field events.

Can someone just show up to this rally? This is very close to my house. I was thinking about riding down to check it out, but wasn't sure of the schedule/events. I haven't registered because my schedule is a little up in the air at the moment.

On a side note i saw that there is a group ride scheduled. If the routes take them off of gravel there will be problems. I was out riding last night and the low maintenance roads are in bad shape. A combination of mud, and ruts.

Yes sir, you can. Eddie is running a ride. He knows it's wet, it looks like the run is done by 2, I'd guess mostly gravel, before their bike show and stuff.

I was going there or Arkansas but threw my back out. Have fun.

I'm going to head up early in the morning, too close to home to not sleep in my own bed tonight and the rain. rturpin, you can show up unannounced, get a day pass, day pass and a meal, or the whole deal. :)
