Heading to Chadwick early Friday and staying night to ride again Saturday. If you're free and enjoy riding gnarly trails please feel free to come along. As of right now I believe Randy and Kramer are in. I've heard James and Ward are a possible.
Last time I was there it rained and the trails were still very ridable. Knock on wood it'll be dry this time.

Mike:
Hayden and I are going to plan on being down there Saturday. However, we may not ride with the group, given Hayden's lack of experience, and the fact we're riding DRZs
We're planning on getting to Chadwick early Saturday morning (driving down from Pomme De Terre).

Hmmm... I'm a maybe. My boy has had football games every Saturday for almost 3 months now but this weekend is his last game. It has really been cramping my riding schedule. Been itching to get riding again.

Scott - Sounds good! I believe James is going as well...we'll see if he likes his KTM at Chadwick better than his DRZ.
Jim - Please come on down. I'll be riding my KTM 300 vs the Berg. Nothing against the Berg, but sure was nice riding the 2 stroke again last time I was down there.
I'm thinking we meet at the Pavilion. Nice place to park with restrooms and shady/dry spot depending on weather. I might be heading down the night before to put the boat back in storage. If I do, I will be ready to ride early Friday. Those that would be driving down Friday morning, you tell me what's a good time to plan to meet....10ish?

Is Hayden's bike plated? If so, there are quite a few forest roads across the highway from Chadwick. Probably enough for a half day anyway. Might be a good way to start without jumping him right into Chadwick.

I have a conference in Branson on Wednesday the 5th. Rather than driving home and then turning around and going back south, I will be staying down there.
So I'm totally flexible....I can meet as early as anybody wants on Friday and/or can ride some on Thursday. The Pavilion works for me. For those of you not familiar with Chadwick, the pavilion is in the Cobb Ridge part of Chadwick. The second park entrance off H.

The pavilion is the, KC Day Use Staging Area, on the map.

Ward B. and I (James B.) are planning to meet Thursday at 6:30am at the QuikTrip at 150 and 291 in Lee's Summit. We will be riding Chadwick on Thursday and Friday, then returning Friday night or early Saturday morning (flexible). There is room for a couple more bikes and riders, if that schedule works for anyone else.

Hey guys, I had a great time. One thing I did learn is that 17 riders trying to ride single track together is too many....felt like being on 435 in rush hour.
Huge potential on the motorcycle side. Imagine if that whole side is nice single track like what is north of strawberry hill?

I wish I would have taken more video's and pictures.
Friday's ride was a good one with Ward, Randy, James B and Kendall. Ruined my brand new Dunlop AT81 on the fire road of all places. Hit a large sharp rock and it tore the tire. Luckily Randy loaned me his spare wheel and tire so the ride could continue. Randy was running a spare front wheel from Ward as his wheel bearings gave out.
Saturday was a bit cooler, but still a great day. We had Randy, Nick, Scott B, Rick and new guy James L.. James just moved back to KC from Nevada and is one hell of a rider. I got yet another flat tire...well Randy technically did as it was his tire he loaned. Oops. I've had 3 flats in my years of riding...2 in the same weekend. We hooked up briefly with a large group riding some single track and as Randy stated in was a bit like rush hour in south JoCo.
Everyone rode great with no real damage to persons or equipment...other than tires.
Hopefully can make it out again for another ride this year.
