Or meet in Overland Park and ride the gravel and minimum roads that Kansas has to offer. Either way I'm good.

There are a lot of gravel roads here in Johnson County MO, surprising that I can't find a dualsport route already developed for around here. Once I get a GPS I will work on developing some routes and maybe just maybe I will get around to developing a route from the KC area to meet up with the TMOT (Trans-Missouri Trail) unless someone has already beat me to it.

Tclimber I actually live less than a mile southwest of Warrensburg. Between this post and the big bike post I was hoping to get some riding in this weekend on the 690. After that I have the next three weekends devoted to racing hare scrambles. I wish I could have made the fall TARKC Ride down in AR but it is my wedding anniversary and birthday weekend. If we don't get together this weekend maybe sometime in mid-November. It will also give me a chance to do some additional gravel road riding and routing.

Overland Odyssey there is a Trans-MO Trail thread over on advrider
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.p ... light=TMOT

The South TMOT starts in O'Fallon MO and ends in Blue Eye MO near the start of the Trans-Arkansas Trail (TART). TMOT West begins in Chester IL and also ends in Blue Eye MO

Hey Ed,

Not to change the subject, but how do you like that 690? I rode a '14 at CZ last month and was quite impressed. At my age, I'm having a hard time getting over the price of admission though.

I'd like to but I'm a little too heavily loaded right now. Bike is prepped for my run to the Appalachian Rendezvous on Tuesday.

Sorry, but this is the only way I could figure out how to attach a pic to the post. I don't use photobucket and using the picasa button didn't work.

TClimber I will give you a call sometime this afternoon. It's a busy weekend for me but want to ride more than anything. Find a halfway point where we can meet up and we will just ride / explore the roads as we go along. I prefer gravel to black top. Two lane roads aren't bad but don't want to ride 4 lane like HWY50. I currently don't have a gps but I'm working on that. Trying to decide if I want to go smartphone or tablet as my GPS.

TClimber - no apology is necessary, I understand you own a small business and that stuff happens. We'll get together and ride again some day. If I don't race next weekend I might do a Polar Bear Run to Louisburg KS. I'm going to add a new post to cover that.
