I can neither confirm nor deny these allegations. 8)

Super tempting.. Problem is I think it's going to rain tonight. When I went out, it had rained the night before and was pretty slick and greasy in the woods. My wife is heading out of town Monday for the week so I've got to do an oil change on the jeep and give it a good once over (tire psi, radiator fluid, etc) and I have an appointment with the vet at 9am tomorrow for my dog.. Whatcha doing Sunday?

Sent a a PM.

My 500 is missing the forks and shock (rebuilt and being shipped today I hope). My 300 is not running good enough to ride...needs carb rebuild I think/hope.

Thanks for coming over and checking out Oakland with me today guys. It was nice meeting y'all. The poor KTM got muddy. But don't worry, myself and the bike are all cleaned up now. I took a shower and scrubbed all the jungle rot off my feet. :D

Thanks Savage for the ride. Cleaned mine sat night so don't have any pictures, but that was about as muddy as it's been so far.

Have you got a little video you can post from it?

I haven't checked it out yet. I've been outside most of the day in this beautiful weather.

Thanks for the ride on Saturday. Had so much mud on the bike...when I started to spray it off...a turtle, a snake and two frogs fell out from under the rear fender. :D

I would look (try to make it better) at your 300 if you so desired.

Generous of you, Carl! You don't want to fire this 2-stroke up in your neighborhood there--I can tell you that. :)

Rick wrote:Savage, I wish that too. I miss riding with you, Luc, Kyle, Troy, Stu and the rest of the locals. You should come down to Arkansas with TARKC next month.
Rick,

I'm considering it. Still on the mend from my shoulder surgery (my 4th, and all dirt bike inspired). Might be too slow for you now since I have not been on a trail since the beginning of April.

Dunno about school creek. Kinda soon especially since I was lifting my body weight with my repaired arm working on the car two days ago. Still sore from that. Not the smartest move.

I am going to ride either School Creek or Randolph the morning of Labor Day. Looking for a nice half-day ride then home to do some Labor.

Wife going to Florida for a long weekend. Wanting to plan a couple day rides. I've been to School Creek. Would Randolph be worth a look? Manhattan? I believe there close togather. Could a person hit all 3 in 1 day?

Anything else out there that would be cool riding??

As for what makes a place a good place to ride, it's all relative, right? If you live in CO or AR and then want to know about "good riding areas in KS", well, there aren't any. If, like me, you live in a freakin' Kansas City metro suburb, well, any old pasture makes for "good riding"...relatively speaking.

That said, I think you can have a real blast riding at Randolph. It's designed for big 4x4 rock crawlers, but I've had lots of fun on motorcycles there. Oddly, I've never ridden at the spillway motorcycle area--what I assume you refer to as "Manhattan". As far as public riding areas go, I think School Creek is as good as it gets in KS. (I only go to Perry when I simply need something closer.)

I've never ridden Oakland (Topeka) or Carbondale.

Randolph to School Creek is about 50 minutes.
