Troy is the nice one. He will help pick up your bike, give a boost if stuck and will give a lot of encouragement. Chris will laugh and point if you get stuck or go down and I'll document it with my camera.

Have you ever noticed how many of us are eager to go when it is sunny and 68 degrees outside and the cold winter is still a distant memory?

My only restriction other than cold, rain, ice snow, wind, is that I have to be back for a basketball game in Lawrence Monday night.

I just dropped my daughter off at school, and was thinking about all of you as I was driving my warm car. I was actually wishing I didn't have conflicting plans. Have fun, and post some pics soon.

It was a chilly starting off but the sun was bright and once we got off 50 highway it was pleasant.

Have not see a lot of Troy once we got to the motel. He paid extra for a jacuzzi tub and a bed with magic fingers. Last I heard was something about hookers and blow. Here in Cuba MO most likely all he'll find is meth and sheep.

I believe the boys are enjoying a little cold rain and a stiff breeze this morning. Ride safe gents.

Today had a lot of weather. We have 30s and spitting snow and then 45 and sunny at noon. Along Lost Creek Road is started sunny and then when gray but stayed in the 40's until we got to IL. It dripped to 38 in about a mile and some rain. During the summer the light rain would be refreshing but not in February.

Everyone kept the rubber down except Troy. On Lost Creek Road he wanted to take a polar bear swim. No one else wanted to join him.

No one else fell into the river because I broke a path through the ice for them! The mighty F800GS almost made it across smashing through the ice, but her front wheel met her match in a thick wall of ice. My suit did a great job keeping me dry. Only my feet got wet.

The ice beat me today. I was leading the group and hit some ice and down I go. Bike spun 180 degrees while my cat like reflexes made my dismount look like is a planned.

We need pictures. I know your still on the road, but soon.....
It looks like your making better time without me slowing you down while I do skid plate and engine guard testing.
And gore-tex testing from the sound of it.
Have a good ride back tomorrow.
