The neighbor boys and I checked the trails this afternoon and they are in great shape to ride. I also put up signs for the easy go rounds in case anyone wishes to find an easier way. There is water standing in the creek bottoms in places so random riding through the creek will be muddy if you don't choose carefully.
I have ride waiver forms ready for everyone to fill out. They are short and simple.
I will be ready by 9:00 .....will start the ride whenever you all get here.
As of now the plan is to :
Have a brief riders meeting
Ride til lunch.
Have lunch
Farm tour for those who want after lunch
Ride some more
Most of all the plan is to enjoy the day and each others company.
I think we are all set to go ......looking forward to tomorrow.
Now I go to slice all that fresh baked bread for the sandwiches

I see you edited my jump out. I guess you did not want to show proof of me and my BMW flying further than those orange things?

A very special thanks to Larry and Dena...what a great day !

Larry's trail system is pure fun. It accommodated everything from a 50cc Honda to a 1200 GS and everyone came away smiling. I also learned that raising game birds is more of a dedication than an occupation.

Dena is not only a great help if you have a flat tire she makes the most wonderful homemade bread. She made us all feel welcome and put together a fabulous lunch !

Again, thank you both !!!

Aside...Though we did not get to see Eddie getting big air on the GS he did win the "Big Gourds" award for his impressive performance.

I had never thought of doing a jump at that part of the trail .....(my excuse) because there is usually crops in the field.

It was a pleasure to share the day and trails with all of you ,glad all enjoyed themselves. Yes Dena is the best cook. I get a lot of enjoyment sharing the trails with others.
Yes I am impressed with Eddie ,he proved it can be done. Eddie rode the whole system of trails with the big GS. It was a lot of work and it wore him out ...but he had the skills it took to do it.
This is one of my favorite of the days pics

If you look closely at some of the pics you can find several bikes hiding in the woods.

RideForum.NET should be the first website you load in the morning and the last you view before going to sleep. I thought everyone knew that?!

I do want to remind everyone that you can "subscribe" to a specific forum. For example, you can subscribe to the "Ride!" forum so you get notified of new threads and posts. Go to the Ride! forum then look in the upper right (below the header graphic) for the subscription link. This is different from the normal "thread subscription" that happens automatically when you post in a thread.

I first met Larry at the Hillbilly ride last spring in Arkansas. I’ve been looking for another chance to hang out with him, so I knew it would be worth 6 hours in the pickup. My 2 sons, Micah and Aaron, came along and spoiled me by doing the driving and navigation.

A big thank you to Larry and Dena for hosting the ride, lunch, farm tour, and visiting time. The trails were extensive and I saw plenty of places where mowing, chainsawing and clearing had been done. The result was a challenging set of trails that went on and on and on. It was a day of smiles watching Eddy navigate the tight woods on his GS, and watching the skilled KTM guys cut some new trails Larry was looking to make. Phil got his newly acquired KTM dirty, maybe for the 1st time? We had a couple of races across the bean stubble, and I got to experience just how much dust there is behind a KTM. I don’t yet know what it’s like to be in front of one, but maybe one will run out of gas next time!

Larry, We most enjoyed the farm tour and learning how technical and precise raising Pheasants needs to be. Your place was so clean and well thought out.

We finally got home at 9:00 last night, to a homemade apple pie. It was a most excellent day!

Dena and Larry, Thank for the great time. I enjoyed the trails as much on my big pig as I had on my smaller one last time. Once big difference, last year I was not still sore the next day.

Yesterday I started out playing on some mounds that were created from cleaning out my ponds:

After that I went to Larry's and played on his fun trails with a lot of baby bikes:

It was great fun at the Bird Farm. Nice riding with you all.
