Saturday, September 21. Anytime after 2:00. My cabin near Blue Mound, KS (N 38 degrees 08.830' W 095 degrees 02.402) 8951 Botkin Road, Blue Mound, KS Link to Map https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit? ... Shnfn5AmRs The gate is halfway between 800 and 900 Road on Botkin Road on the East side of road.

Please come down and join me. Bring what you need for dinner (or plan on going to Blue Mound BBQ 6.5 miles away) and drinks.

You can either set up camp or sleep on one of 4 cots in the barn (has a wood burning stove).

There will be a nice campfire that evening.

At the cabin I have some Adventure Riding Skill DVDs. There are also a few places to practice the slow speed skills if that interests anyone.

This is NOT a organized ride. This is NOT a organized camp. You need to ride your own ride to get there and provide your own food and drinks.

There will be a grill for the fire as well as a charcoal grill, coolers, basic condiments and utensils.

An idea. Ride to Rusty Jug in Eldorado Springs, MO for lunch and then ride to my place. They are about 75 miles apart.

That sounds like a fun deal at your place and neat ride! I'm at Columbia, Mo this Saturday for the 4-H State Speech Contest for my Daughter!

Eddie, maybe post the GPX track for the great dualsport loop you led me on down there with all the creek crossings?

The attached tracks cross the Little Osage River 8 or 9 times. I believe 2 are bridges over the river, 2 are low water bridges that can be very slick and the rest are fords.

If you are going to run this route be cautious. Check the crossing first! There has been a couple of inches of rain this week so the fords could be impassible. The river gets bigger the further east you go on the route.

At least that's what I hear. I won't. But I've been asked by several people why I'm not going. The Rusty Jug is only a mile or two from the airport. I could make it another cross country. On second thought I'll just ride my bike, if I'm not at work.

I don't think your bike has enough chrome on it to be in the loop in the Fayetteville gathering.
Something like 100,000+ bikes and 250,000+ people in leather vests and chaps. You would have to cut the muffler off your bike too.

You could capture a sensational video by setting up some cameras on the curves on the Pig Tail Trail (Hwy 23) as every year a chromed out beast or 2 overshoots a hairpin. Sad.

Count me in and maybe one more, buddy Marty from Nevada. I'll have enough food and spirits for myself, Marty and Gene who will likely ride in. I'll get extra to share.

Wish I could make it Eddie...wedding anniversary tomorrow. I'll be at The Elms doing my husbandly duty. Have a great ride !!!

I worked last night, so I'm off today. At least until tonight. I'm planning on leaving Lee's Summit around 1-1:30. That should get me there around 3-4 depending on my route. I guess that should work fine. I won't be able to spend the night, but BBQ sounds good. I'll bring some cookies for everyone to snack on. It may not be pie, but cookies travel better.

Ryan, everyone I have heard from is bring something to eat at the cabin. You could go to Blue Mound and bring it back.

Eddie, Just wanted to say thanks for a great afternoon and night. I made it home with no problems, and even stayed mostly warm. I think my bike looks particularly good with the McL brand on it.
