Todd,
SORRY I couldn't make the ride and for this late response. I was wrapped up in the backyard birthday extravaganza I threw for my daughter's 6th birthday this past Sat. It was an all day affair with inflatable bouncy houses, music, snowcones, hotdogs, etc. I spent all day Sun in a daze and trying to recover.
Were you guys able to ride with the weather? At least at my house, it was kind of nice most of the day until about 6 or 7pm when the wind picked up and the rain started.

Yes, AdvRider's custom forum system makes embedding items easier than
phpBB, the #1 forum software on the Internet. There are several things I'd like to change, but doing my own customization means major headaches at upgrade time. It's important that RideForum.NET not become a burden to manage--I'm thankful it has been a breeze for years.
On another note, I don't really want to host people's photos. I don't want to pay for the space to host thousands of photos. This is why I've tried to advocate and teach that folks should create online web albums for their photos then link or embed them here in the forum. It's really a win for all involved. Those photo hosting sites want to host your pictures. Once hosted there, you can embed and link to them in dozens of forums with only a single hosting cost--and only a single upload for you.
I know apps like Tapatalk are convenient. Unfortunately, they do not support this model. Instead, they want to upload the photo directly to the forum.
I'd also point out that if you have another, larger community to share your ride with (like a regional forum on AdvRider), it sometimes makes sense to create the ride report there and simply create a post here with a link to let local folks know about it. I'm cool with that! Some forum operators don't like that, but we aren't trying to create the world's largest and exclusive motorcycle forum here! We simply want to connect like-minded riders with the ultimate goal of getting out there to RIDE. RideForum.NET allows better local focus for the riders in this area when that is appropriate, but it does not need to compete with AdvRider or any other system--it can work with those systems and as a gateway to them even.

Troy, I'm not taking it out on The forum for my ability of not knowing how to run my iPhone, witch you other phone users just put me down a click'[FLUSHED FACE]
Sometimes I hit the right buttons and sometimes I forget which place I'm at to use the right upload. I go a mile a minute so get confused! [DISAPPOINTED BUT RELIEVED FACE]lol!!
It's says taptalk down load or forum which one do I push?

I'm not familiar with the Tapatalk app, so I don't know how to help you. Eddie?
I'll make a stab at this based on my assumptions. I believe Tapatalk offers a limited amount of file storage space with your account and you can pay to add more space. This allows you to put the files (which may be photos) you want to share in forums on the Tapatalk servers instead of directly to each forum. If you choose to upload to Tapatalk, then I assume they are smart enough to embed the photo into your post with an appropriate link to your Tapatalk-hosted image.
RJ, you had more issues than that, though. You somehow also only uploaded tiny thumbnails to RideForum rather than the larger images. In addition, it appears you are "attaching" photos to your post rather than embedding them as images. (This is why they show up as download links instead of just showing the pictures in your post.) I'm not real sure how to explain to you the difference since the Tapatalk user interface would be different than using the Rideforum website directly.
GOOD LUCK!

On Tapatalk you download to the Tapatalk hosting site.
You are only allowed to do that about 30 time and then you have to buy additional capacity. I'm too cheap to buy the extra capacity so I take a picture, upload it to Picasa and then link that picture. It is a few extra steps but it saves me $2.
