Count me as a tentative....lots to do preparing for the in-laws coming to town Sunday. I also need to de-neuter the TE-450 (I am pretty sure the the exhaust suddenly sounded like Michael Jackson at a boys camp). Put a Kenda 270 on the rear, way too mild for anything beyond a groomed gravel road. The wore out Dunlop 606 outperforms it any day.

No other kids that I know of but don't forget to bring him and his motorcycle. I'm sure he will have a good time hanging out with dad and seeing all the other motorcycles. :)

I need to say this... it's 630am Friday and my place is still pretty muddy. We didn't dry out at all yesterday even though no new precip it has been cloudy and humid. Counting on lots of sunshine today. If conditions are questionable tonight I might switch things up and go for a longer back-roads ride the first half of day to allow more drying time.?? I will post up as soon as I get home from work today. Not being indecisive, just don't want people driving all the way out here for a disappointing day of mud bogging, slip-sliding chaos.

NOTE: Trophies would still be awarded.

I think I'm in. Alissa is coming with me as a spectator, but she might come along on the dual sport ride if I bring the Adventure along too.

Is anyone planning on camping, and if so what night? I'm not sure if we will, but it might help to know when others are so we can do the same thing.

Not a bad plan................... Back roads should be very nice and Spring is exploding!! If that's all I did it would still be a fine day. 8)

I had thought about camping, and bringing my vintage trials bike along, but I think now I'll probably just ride the WR in Sat morning.

Kendall, You posted while I was typing my last blurb..........................
If you Wanted to camp Friday night I could still be persuaded to do it. I guess we should ask, Is it Too muddy to camp tonight???

Bob, Kendall,

Mike (safiri), and I are just driving up early Sat morning. Figure to be at Kyle's before 10am. We'll play all day--whatever we end up doing, and drive home Sat night.

Bob...riding the WR out sounds like a nice day from Topeka. Would have been cool to see your vintage trial bike, though!

Kendall (& Alissa), really glad you guys are coming. If we end up doing a dualsport ride, would it help you guys if I brought 2 bikes so Alissa or you could ride one of mine? It would mean pulling a trailer for us instead of throwing 2 bikes in the truck bed, but if we think it would be appreciated... I plan to bring my 2012 350, but I could also bring my 2007 450---I could ride the 450 on the dualsport---I know you probably can't handle that kind of power. 8)

Thanks for the offer Troy! I plan on cutting Alissa loose on the 350 and I'll ride the 990. I haven't even mentioned it to her yet, but I think she won't be too hard to talk into it. I just asked her this morning if she would want to come to hang out and she said yes. On the way to work I got to thinking that she could definitely ride the 350 on a dual sport ride, so I'll run it by her.

I think we'll plan on coming up tomorrow morning. Working on Fridays lately has be all screwed up- I didn't even realize that I was talking about tonight until after I said I was in. I could probably rush and get everything together, but I think we'll take the more relaxed approach and come over in the morning.

Sorry, I just got home a while ago and had to deal with a pet emergency also. We won't have too much trouble with DUST. Things are drying out nicely so we will be alright. If it rains tonight all I can say is "it's not my fault"

Should be great camping weather.

I can only commit to part of a day due to honey-do chores. If you would be interested, I can put together a DS route for the afternoon. I have some good roads towards Westy and north that should be interesting after the rain. Should be less than 100 miles easy.

Just an option in case the spillway gumbo is no longer viable.

Kyle shares these photos of his little enduro track and his land so you can see the conditions right now. We'll have some mud, but it looks to be drying out fast.

I'm looking forward to a nice day playing on a dirt bike and working on skills. I'm also looking forward to smoking everyone in the competition. Seriously, the competition is kind of tongue-in-cheek, but it will be fun to play. I hope a few more folks decide to come out. 8)

Mac, if Kyle's track is too slippery in the late morning, we might want to go run some roads until his land dries for a couple hours. I assume the min maint would be a mess if Kyle's place is muddy, so perhaps just some nice gravel cruising. Personally, I've never seen Pillsbury Crossing. Maybe we could run down to see that.

Well, CRAP! I was just getting ready to go downstairs and do the final prep/packing for tomorrow when Alissa's phone rang. It was our realtor and the only time he has in the near future to come out and do paperwork and photos to get the house listed is tomorrow at noon. So I guess instead of more people coming out, there will be two less now. I really want to ride, but I think I want to get this house sold just a bit more!

He said that I don't have to be here to sign papers and I can do it via "e-signatures" later, but I would feel a bit irresponsible doing that, not to mention it isn't fair to make Alissa do all of it by herself.

You guys have fun tomorrow and I'll be missing the festivities for sure.

Stupid house!

Damnit Kendall! I just finished engraving your name on the 3rd place trophy.

I will miss you but I guess selling your house is more important. Since selling my old house in Wichita, an exhausting 18 month search for our new place in Manhattan and then cleaning up and fixing our new place I haven't done much riding at all. It was worth it for the long run just glad it is behind me.

I am pretty sure the spillway gumbo will be just that.
You know these roads much better than I do so I would be honored if you wanted to lead the way.

My original plan was to head North toward Westy then jog West crossing 13 HWY toward Tuttle, buzz down Carnahan Creek Rd. , take Cedar Creek Rd around to the Spillway with goal being Spillway OHV for an hour. Then Juanita Rd over and up to Pott. St. Lake (which I have never been to) then wind back to my place stopping at the old school house on Mt. Zion. Short but sweet.

I would love go South toward Pillsbury and Wabaunsee as I have never ridden that way.

Sounds like the Wolf brothers are planning on taking the top 2 spots on the podium!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. The irony is that we're wanting out of owning this house so we have more free time to do fun stuff, but it has been taking up all of our time the last several weekends. I just need to keep focused on the end goal and it will be worth it.

If there were some way I could come out and ride for a bit and make it back in time for the house stuff I would definitely join you guys. That noon appointment may shoot down my whole Saturday! :x
