I am looking for tracks for the area. My wife and I drove through on the parkway this past Monday. Everytime I saw a gravel road intersecting the pavement I longed to have my DS with me.
Anyone got tracks are routes through the area? I am doing some research on ADV and Troy gave me a link to DualSportMaps that had some un-ridden tracks. I have put together some routes for a three day ride all starting and ending in Mena due to fuel availability in the area.

I wish I had tracks from the fall colors tour circa 1999, rode with a guy from Wichita but back then it was all roll charts and three color ribbons on the trees. RL Lemke arranged for us to ride thru some stuff that's normally off limits. Devro might have some tracks and njoytheride mentioned he's going back over there.Drz Charlie wrote:I

Here's a map Devro sent me.. .

This isn't ride report but more of a cage report. As I said my wife and I drove Talimena and that is what piqued my interest in riding the area. Here are a few pictures from the area.
It was our first time there and though it was cloudy, rainy and foggy we still managed to enjoy it. The pictures below were an exercise in grey but some of them turned out well.
Some pictures from the drive in no particular order
The White Oaks on Rich Mountain are very unique

I rode the byway a couple of years ago West to East. I think I like your gray pictures better than my bright green ones. We rode it mid day mid week, and I think we pretty much had the road to ourselves. There was a guy on a ST1300, and we talked to him breifly at one of our photo stops, but that was about it in the 40+ miles. I don't have any of my pics uploaded, so I can't share right now. We stuck to pavement most of that trip, so nothing to help you with the off road planning.

Here's my own little trip through Talimena last fall. Not that many pictures, and like drzCharlie, it was rainy and overcast when I took the photos.
