Old enough to be your Dad. Skip the candles. Save your money for KTM parts.
See you tomorrow, dad. Happy Birthday!

I'm going to miss this ride. I hope I don't regret it too much. If this is the last nice weather weekend I'll be bummed. Y'all have a great ride!

A Fantastic day of riding :!: School Creek never disappoints. It was great riding with old friends and some new ones.
The bike is unloaded, the gear put away, just cracked open a Bud and Monica has BBQ ribs slow cooking in the crock pot...what a nice day. :D

Riding School Creek has been on my Bucket List for several years, and all I needed was someone to ride with! :D
Beautiful day! I love riding in the winter with no bugs or those nasty green things on the trees blocking your vision and getting in the way. It was great to put faces with all the names....... and of course see you again this year Troy.
rideforum.net RULES!

WHAT A GREAT DAY! :D
Thanks to all who came and made it such a great day at School Creek! What did we end up with, 14 riders? Something like that, and to my knowledge, nobody went home injured--a nice bonus on a perfect day of riding. We celebrated Rick's birthday in grand style I think!

Stu, thanks for leading us for awhile. I always love following you because you find the best stuff and string it together in interesting ways. With that many people and all the trail options, it was impossible to keep a group together for more than 10 minutes! This is expected at School Creek and all part of the fun! Sometimes I was with 4 riders, sometimes with 2, sometimes with 8, and more than once I ended up by myself for awhile--which is good, too.

Savage, thanks for the photos--I want to see the photos from Rick's camera, too-especially the group under the banner. If any of you guys put together some video clips, please link to them here.

REALLY GREAT DAY! :D

The helmet cam was on and rolling most of the day, including the crash!

Wish I could have stayed longer. Would love to go back and explore some more.

What Troy said! :D
Great day of riding. I ended the day falling over (down a steep embankment) from an almost stop (I'll blame fatigue), having my foot trapped under the bike (thanks to Kyle for extricating me), and breaking the visor off of my too-old helmet (had been time for a new one for a while). Good times.

Dang! Looks like we missed a perfect day for a ride!

Glad everyone had a good time and there were no incidents. (Other than that seat on the Husky attacking the family jewels! )

Maybe we'll be able to make the next one.

Sorry, Kendall, but it was unanimously decided to shut down RideForum and all group rides. Yesterday was the last one. Ever. Too bad you missed it.

Yeah, I think it was the handlebars that got Curado. I liked how he took the time to bleep his own cussing! Interesting soundtrack in his video, too.

Bob Morgan, nice to see you, too. Our annual visitation I guess!

Once again, it was a perfect day to be riding at School Creek, and our group were THE ONLY riders there for the first few hours. Maybe 6 other rigs total showed up. We had the trails to ourselves. Amazing how empty that place is even on perfect weekend days.

I have to admit, I've never done a day of trail maintenance in my life. We live so far from trail systems in Kansas City. However, SOMEBODY needs to adopt School Creek. I might contact the Fed park to see about legality of cleaning up the trails in there with chainsaws and limb cutters. I could spend a nice winter day walking the trails and clearing away branches. A crockpot of chilli back at the parking lot. Yummmm.

You are a hard man Troy I was hoping to make the next one also, since I had other obligations and couldn't make this one.

I'll let you come practice on my trails , by the way I found some new places to try .

It could be quite a promo trick, do the trail maintance and put up a sign stating the maintanince was done by Rideforum.

Rick is old enough to be my Dad as well. He remembers dinosaurs.

A fabulous day of riding! Had fun with everyone! Curado did offer some amusement when he followed me up that hill only to crash in the ravine at the top that you had to clear. Dust everywhere and Curado hanging on like a rodeo star. Congrats on that, Mark!

Sorry about you shutting down rideforum rides for ever, Troy, but I know these rides must just scare you silly. You can park the banner in my garage. I can host the next one for you. As in this Sunday at Perry perhaps to celebrate my birthday? Or at Bender's Dirt Bike Country Club? I'd prefer the latter. Currently Sunday's high is supposed to be 52 degrees and rain chance of 20%. This may be our last chance for a while since snow is predicted for Sunday night with the high on Monday being about 34.

Forecasts have a habit of shifting by 24 hours either way. When I see a forecast like that for 6 days out, I figure there is a 48.37% chance that Monday's forecast will hit Sun. Let's keep our eyes open to see what this weekend holds.

Second, I REALLY, REALLY want to ride and help you celebrate your birthday this weekend, BUT....I don't think I'm going to be able to. If that changes, I'll let you know.

:( Well, I've already got Alissa's KLX for sale, so I guess after hearing this latest update I might as well sell my other two dirtbikes as well.

I guess I'll have to get back to my main hobby of basket weaving.
