Woohooo!

Eddie, what was the name of that Academy we stopped at? Trying to tag my photos, and can't, for the life of me, remember where it was and what you had said about the structure.

Mountain Crest Academy, for the "backword classes". http://www.encyclopediaofarkansas.net/e ... tryID=6943

The first batch of photos are uploading now. I'll post a link to my photobucket page, if you want to see a bunch of photos. I'll post a few of my favorites here.

Eddie, if you need a full res pic, I can email you one (or several). I'm pretty sure photobucket compresses them more than a publication will want.

I am not going to edit any of the pics right now. Maybe if I find some I really like, I may tweak them a bit.

I spent some time this evening going through what photos I had. I'd post them here, but, once you see them, you might guess why I didn't shrink them enough to 'break' Troy's web-page layout.

You can find them here: http://sdrv.ms/XSFChY (which is SkyDrive)

If'n you prefer to look at them on SirGoogle, and hate the MicroSofts, you can do so here.

Eddie, I only have a couple of shots that you might like for your purposes. You can find them, in their unedited form over at SirGoogle.

Sad to say that I have very little, if not any pictures of Randy. I don't know what happened. Next time, it's all Randy, all the time.

If you have permission issues (the albums are public, so, I don't think you will), please let me know.

OK, I don't know if it's photobucket, my weak internet connection, or my other computer, but I had half of day two ready to post, then it all locked up and went away.
So, here is the photobucket link. These are in no order and haven't been cropped or enhanced, just straight from the camera. The problem with shooting with three cameras, is that they are completely out of order by file number.

Now, I'm going to try to get a few of the posted here, and maybe in order.

A few leftovers from day one.

A dirty 'Strom parked outside the Inn of the Ozarks in Eureka Springs. Oh, there's a GSA in the background.

Image
GPS Stats from day 1. The high speed was from the commute to the QT rendevous point.

Day two, in order, I think.

A few from the King river. Eddie does a sprint on the gravel bar.

I think I like the second one best, but it may need cropped.

We spotted the folks getting ready for their own adventure. The weather was perfect. It was hard to remember that this is January.
Image

We stopped by this school. I saw an eagle. A red headed bald eagle.
Image
Image

We stopped by a rural outdoor folk art museum. OK, it was really just thier front yard.
Image
Image

We worked our way to Combs, and stopped for lunch at the B&M Cafe, where the special was Burgers.
Actually that was the only choice. Troy looks excited.

After lunch we headed to Possum Creek road.

Errrg. I jut spent over an hour, and accidently closed the tab with my version of Possum Creek and the rest of the afternoon. I'm so irritated I think I will try again tomorrow.

Well- you guys confirmed it. I didn't miss out on anything on that trip. I probably had more fun and saw more cool stuff at the RV show at Bartle Hall.

 No amount of denial will help me feel better about missing this trip after seeing all those awesome pictures! It looks like an awesome trip. I wish I could have been there. When is everyone ready to go again?

What?! I call BS! Show me a photo to prove it! No photo = did NOT happen. (Ryan, thanks for the quick pick up! Eddie needs to work on his camera fast-draw!)

That photo of me reddof posted is OBVIOUSLY Photoshopped.

Actually, it's the exact same way I fell over this past weekend! Just trying to be cool and do a very slow, really tight turn...and plop. Idiot. Where is Ryan when you need him?!

Great pics....I kind of feel like, "that guy", who never took a single picture but reaps the benefits of everybody else picture taking efforts!

Well, here's that fancy video of some yahoo on a fully loaded Wee with street tires riding up Pannell Road you all have been dying to see!

It contains some adult language, so, watch it at work at your own risk. The audio is a bit muffled, I need to get one of those external mic thingies for the GoPro.

I had originally wanted to upload it to Vimeo since I have a whole thing set up over there, but, getting the quality right was just a pain. I tried quite a few times to get a better video quality, but, couldn't find the magic settings to do so. I may try with a smaller video, took almost 45 minutes to upload and convert each time. So I gave up and gave it to the YouTubes and I am 'satisfied' with the quality although I wish it was better.

Video is just under 10:00 long. Enjoy! I know I did!

I learned a lot riding this particular ride, most of all, is that I need to be able to 'stand up' quicker from a dead stop, learn to give it throttle and go, trust the skid-plate and once I pick a line, don't stop! Getting moving again is sometimes the hardest part.

let me know if you have any issues with the link or whatnot!

Thanks.

Is that Parnell Rd or Parnell Dry Creekbed? Impressive work!
At the 2 minute mark you should of kicked your right leg out.

hah, Troy was being a good friend and helping me out when I needed it. Kicking his bike over probably would not have gone over too well.

I remember seeing the sign when we came in: Pannell Road.

Awesome video, Scottie! One of my favorite parts was "I hit every f****n' rock!"

That was a very impressive ride- especially for you Strom Troopers. I just wish I could have been there to see it in person- I have a feeling that the video just doesn't do it justice.
