Any Missouri people looking to ride?

So, now I have a dual-sport ('08 KTM 690 Enduro to be exact) but other than riding around Lee's Summit streets every now and then, I haven't been able to do a good limited black top ride yet. Just wondering if anybody anywhere near me does, or wants to map out some kind of DS ride that doesn't involve loading their bike in a truck?
BTW, I just bought a used Triumph Bonneville, so now everybody keeps asking if I'm selling the KTM........now I'm even more determined to ride the KTM before I start thinking I don't want/need it anymore.

There are rides going on all the time. I have one listed for over the Labor Day Weekend. I still am not sure where I'm going but I will be going.

Some great riding North. If you see rides going out of Levenworth north jump on it. Some great stuff that way.

Yeah I looked at that, but A: can't do a 2-3 day ride over Labor Day this year, and B: I'm not sure my 690 would be a highway monster like your GS.
I've seen the Leavenworth rides, and intend to meet up for one sometime, but close to home would be nice too.
I need to get the 690 on the interstate and see how she does. I haven't tried to run it at 65 for any sustained period yet.

I'm not planning any Interstates on my ride. Mostly gravel and minor highways.

I live south of Belton if you ever want to get together for a ride. I am out this weekend and next but most every other weekend I would be up for a ride. I usually go south as to avoid riding through town.

BUT if you avoid town, you miss great rides like this one!

Yeah I am sad I missed that one... Nothing like a early morning ride through the junk yards of eastern KC.

I rode my used Triumph home from there a few weeks ago. Pretty exciting stuff!

Sounds good. I'll check back in a few weeks. Do you have any specific routes? I know some have said the Missouri side is mostly straight gravel roads, but I haven't done enough research yet.

There is some decent gravel down south around LaCyne and up north around Perry. I have tracks of both. On the Missouri side you got to get further south than LaCyne or further east to get anything more than your standard gravel roads from my experience.

Here is the Pomme de Terre ride thread with some routes not TOO far from you--close enough to make a long day adventure out of.
