Everybody is invited to a TAR ride April 21st, beginning in Parkville at Roxanne's Cafe, 6264 Lewis Dr. #104, Parkville mo 64152. If you want to eat breakfast at Roxanne's meet there at 8:00, if you just want to ride we will take off from Roxanne at 9:00.

The plan is to ride about 145 miles of gravel, dirt and a little pavement. We hope to stop for a quick lunch somewhere but bring snacks to hold you over in case we run behind and don't have time for lunch. Gas should be readily available so we will stop for gas about half way through the ride.

I went and gave Roxanne's Cafe a test run yesterday. It was good food but it is not the largest place in the world. It would help if I could get an idea of how many people figure they are going to show up for the ride/ breakfast. If you think you'll be there Saturday post up here so I can get an estimate please. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick, once you get seated. They were packed to the brim with Sunday breakfast goers.

Also, for you GPS users tagging along, I have attached the planned route. It is subject to change after my test run but it should be very close regardless.

Sorry I won't be able to make it... and you are right in my backyard. The cinnamon rolls are amazing if you need a little sugar rush.

I plan on being there but not for breakfast. No knobbies on my DR so don't want any mud!

ummmm. I can't promise NO mud but I don't think there should be any. Almost all of the routes stay on gravel and pavement with only a little dirt mixed in. I will run the route Friday and let you know whether I find any or not though... :D

I'll be there for breakfast. I've got to be in Springfield late afternoon so I'm gonna ride 'till noon or so.

Do I need to sign up or anything to join TARKC? Or just show up with muddy boots?

I am excited excited about tomorrow! I am planning on running this route from Waldron on at noon or so. I want to do a practice run to make sure there isn't something I have not planned for. Of course I want to also check and be sure that it is a decent route.

Remember to show up with FULL fuel tanks tomorrow, or enough to make it to Atchison for some of you "bigger bikes". If we have a bunch of people show unexpectedly I don't want the first 45 minutes to be spent getting gas in Parkville. Kickstands up at 9am.

I will post up tonight or late this afternoon if I am changing portions of the route for any reason. I look forward to seeing all of you. Have a great Friday!

OK, I am sure everyone is waiting with bated breath here, I can just sense that anticipation ( ;) ). For those concerned/ interested I just finished running the route planned for tomorrow. For the most part it is easy gravel, pavement, and a little dirt. There are a number of tight gravel turns, just a couple very small sections of minimum maintenance roads that are a little rutted out but for the most part easy. There IS some mud, 3 creek crossings, and some new gravel just put down. I had to amend the route because highway N is closed and it was a pain in the butt finding a decent(ish) way around it. There is a fair amount of pavement in the mix but not a ton. If anyone is concerned or has any questions text me 210 four four five 3460 and I will address the issues. This is big bike friendly if you have some experience but there are sections you will most likely be slower through. We are not in a rush tomorrow so feel free to take it easy if you need to. It is faster to go slow than to pick up a bike and an injured rider and get that whole mess sorted. It took me about five and a half hours with no stops, save gas in Atchison.

The first half of this was a lot of fun. The rest of the group will have to post about what happened later.

Nice meeting everyone. Foster, thanks for putting this together. Well done.

Second half was also a lot of fun, good roads and a smooth ride overall.

All I can smell right now is dust.

I thought the ride went very well. Thanks for coming out guys. It was a good time and I think the group size was about perfect. I should have some photos when my brother gets them off his go pro and I finish editing them.
