This year, we are holding our First Annual SOONER ADVENTURE ride!
As most of you already know, this is a dual purpose event scheduled for November 13th, 2011.
This will be a fun ride for anyone with an adventure or dual purpose style bike...some paved road...some not....AND some single track...for the faint at heart!
The ride will leave Performance Cycle in Bethany, OK and head to Stillwater.
There we will have a mid morning snack at NATIONAL AMA CHAMP, Guy Cooper's, house.
After some fun at Coop's, the ride will go to SEABA STATION MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM on Route 66, in Warwick, OK for some English Trials Fun & Games and LUNCH!
Once we are done at Seaba Station, we will end up back at Performance Cycle.
Route Info: The route is about 175 miles, and will be about 25% pavement, and the other 75% gravel, sand, and dirt country roads. There will be an ALTERNATE route with about 2 miles of trails *NOT recommended for the big bikes or bikes with passengers!*
Start Time: Start time will be 7:00 am (with a riders meeting starting at 6:30 am) at Performance Cycle.
Gas Stops: There are three gas stops for the smaller tank bikes, although the route is very "big bike" friendly!
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $35 which includes coffee, oj, and snacks at Coop's house, a T-Shirt from the ride, your own ride route sheet, and a sandwich lunch at Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum! *Coffee, OJ, and Snacks sponsored by Stillwater Honda* *Lunch Sponsored by Performance Cycle and Friends*
Hotel Info: We have rooms being held under group name "Performance Cycle", Holiday Inn Express (7840 NW 39th Expy, Bethany, OK 73008 (405) 787-6262) They are $90/night and reservations need to be made by 11-10-11. This does include a free hot bar breakfast in the morning!
