Well, Kyle and Doug, I don't know about you guys, but I was freek'n beat, and a little tender in places, on Sunday! I don't know about you.
The day went great! Mid 60's, sun shining, light breeze, a perfect day for sailing, or tearing up some dirt at Milford ORV.
I think Doug was the only one who came out without a scratch from the day of riding.
Kyle liked to park his on the sides, and tops, of cliff-side hills, Kim hit the boost on hers and took a sudden seat on a dirt chair, my dad found out the hard way that neutral is not a good gear selection to climb hills, and I was reminded why I wear a chest protector with the help of some jagged rocks, and my impersonation of Superman.
As for bike troubles, yeah, I'll take this one again! Fortunately, a broken rear fender (just ripped it off), and a loose radiator hose clamp (just tightened it up) were all the troubles we really had. And since I never cause the group to lose out on riding time due to technical (or stupidity) issues, I figure I'm due for these, right?
*Cough ~ don't leave your key on and drain your battery ~ Cough*
Besides a few mishaps, the other parts of the day were fantastic. Some good technical riding, great traction, great weather, all of us rode a good even pace, nobody seriously hurt, and no serious damage. I just wish Kyle had his helmet cam!
Until next time,
Tye
