Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

any more interest? just a couple people? I was Barrigas and scoped out the party room, they have a big screen/projector as well as a regular TV that we could hook up to. The venue is free, just pay for food/drinks. May 30th was the only date that was mentioned, if we get more interest I can see if w...

Re: New Old Bike

Thanks. Transmission, kept it 350, to go 400 there is a BUNCH of stuff to do and little benefit. I'm currently working on a dry clutch conversion using TZ parts. Brake is off an R6, way more power than this bike needs, have to be carefull when getting on the binders. Seat, is more of a torture devic...

Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

I'll bring my InReach as well so others can get a sense as to how it works with phone tethering.

Who has a projector? ;)

Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

I think that would be cool. I always learn new tricks from others.

Beraga's in Greenwood has a big ass party room on the second floor that we could use for free. You'll need your GPS to find it.

Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

I've been using the InReach for a few years now. Converted from the Spot Messenger as the InReach uses the Iridium Constellation, much better coverage as I ran into some situations where I had no signal for miles on end in the northern Rockies. Personal preference, I'm a BCDR nazi (Business Continua...

Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

checking out that site, looks pretty good, may be the way to go now. regarding my mountain tracks, most are up north, i'm planning a ride for this summer in Colorado hitting BlackBear pass, some other passes and some COBDR on big bikes. I've been jonesing for some high elevation primitive camping la...

Re: GPS - Advice for the New guy?

Back when I lived in the mountains I would spend weeks pouring over maps trying to find the most interesting and off the beaten path routes to destinations. For the past few years, I've been using the Garmin Montana, it's not the cheapest, but the thing is durable, and I can get multiple mounts for ...

Bike Project Vendors

As I go down the project path, I always try to find local expertise when I can. It hasn't been easy Is there doesn't seem to be a lot of demand for it in the KC metro area. As I find people, i'll start listing them here, if some are not local, i'll post here as well. RZ500 expert. (Engine) Bill Wils...

Motorcycle Shipping

Hey all, I've been put through the ringer the last few months dealing with shipping a few bikes around. So I'd thought I'd let you all know about a reputable shipper in case you need it. Colorado Riding area's

Hey all, I don't have a lot of vacation time that I can actually take this year (Again) and am wanting to do a week in Colorado with the small bikes. Camping/dirtbike trip. Anyone know if some good places that I can pull in with the ToyHauler and be able to ride from to trails? Looking for a spot th...

Re: Calendar!

This is good stuff. One thing that i've been struggling with since i've been here is something like this. The Pacific NW is very bike centric so things like this exist all over the place. If I was an HD rider, i'd be fine here, but I ain't, and I ain't gonna be.

Nice work.
