Re: Birch

Tuesday I fitted brand spanking new suspension front and rear on the 1190R. I'm wanting to find some whoops that I can test it out on now that it won't bottom out. ;)

I've decided to follow the Oregon Trial up to Burns Oregon in a few weeks, it's picking some cool places to check out on the trip.

Ride up to Oregon in June

Heading up to Burn Oregon first week in June (No, not to support the Bundy's) Anywho, everyone and their dog has warned me to stay off 70, so that's out, but what's a good, semi interesting way to make it 1600 miles in 3 days? On the way back, I may go for the saddle sore or bun burner award, we'll ...

Re: Headwork

Also, pulled the cylinder on the KTM and need to get it measured, I don't have any snap sticks or outside micrometers etc. Anyone that has access, let me know. All in all, the engine looks good, I think it's just a known issue with the KTM pistons shrinking when it gets hot, causing it to burn oil a...

Walters Ranch Jan 30

Was looking at all the possible rides to cling onto, and low and behold, have some work stuff I need to keep an eye on, and can't really see driving hours on end and not being able to stay the night. That being said, thinking of taking the boy down to Walters Ranch on Saturday, just throwing it out ...

Re: Glade Top Trail - Friday/Saturday, December 4-5

I need to get a ride in. What sort of ride is this Trail anyway? Assuming big bikes? And would it make sense to just head down Friday evening, have a few beers that night and ride on Saturday?

Re: Pinch flats / tire pressure - ideas..

I've always been leery of tubless off road. I've slashed sidewalls before. even a small slide puts you back to throwing your spare tube in there on the trail.

Short answer, there is no silver bullet, just what compromises you're willing to accept.

Re: Pinch flats / tire pressure - ideas..

A couple of us tried it once. didn't work. If you want to guarantee to never have a pinch flat, i'm going to tell you a secret. (ok, it's not really, it's just a PITA). First, only use Bridgestone UHD tubes, nobody elses, Not Moose, etc, just Birdgestone. Buy two of them. and Talc powder, only use r...

I ended trying the red, but ultimately went with the Blue needle, seems to be good for the temp right now when I did a short ride this week.
