Re: Honda XR650R - Thoughts
Thanks guys! Troy is right, the L is completely different and not what am really looking for. "I remember at least a couple of times when it took a lot of time and energy to kick-start it" Hehee, that is what am thinking, I remember trying to start a friends old KX500 back in the day.. Can only imag...

Honda XR650R - Thoughts
So I've run into a possible good deal on a XR650R. Am looking for something a little more friendly on the road then my WR, but don't want to sacrifice the power that the WR has and am not really interested in an orange bike or any of the flavors of it. That said, anyone here have any experience with...

Re: Plating a dirt bike in MO?
Interesting information about SD. In my case though, I don't have an MSO. The one MSHP person I managed to get through to didn't think it could be done, but said the DOR call the shots. The best DOR ref I have is follows: https://dor.mo.gov/forms/Missouri_Titling_Manual.pdf It specifically states "...

Re: Plating a dirt bike in MO?
Resurrecting this thread. Looking at plating my XR400. Does anyone have any updated info based on experience. I don't see anything about brake lights, mirror etc - the MSHP inspection regs state a headlight, taillight and horn is all I need. It doesn't even state that I need DOT tires - just that t...

Re: Plating a dirt bike in MO?
I've got a 14 WR450 - Does not come street legal. I ran though a bunch of hoops to get a plate here in MO until I stumbled upon South Dakota. I lived in MN for many years, and they are the same, except you need to be a resident. South Dakota doesn't require any residency. Both states do not require ...

Re: Standing on the Foot Pegs on the Street
I have been pulled over while standing, 3 times in Arkansas, twice in Kansas, once in South Dakota and at least a few other times in other states. I have only received warnings. Most states have something that reads similar to the Nebraska law, "Any person shall ride upon a motorcycle only while si...

Re: Standing on the Foot Pegs on the Street
Working a lot this last year to stand more often then not while riding off road.. I've definitely gotten much faster, and feel much more in control doing so /offroad. That being said, I now find when I ride on the road with the WR, I perfer standing as well. This is mainly slower sub 35mph situation...

Re: Are you too busy?
Priceless ;) Haven't been able to ride at all with work, training and the boys. Long weekend down in the mountains is about all this spring. Thanks for the info Troy, really appreciated it a few weeks back, was a good time and the guys from MN went back moaning about the cold and "flat/boring" trail...

Re: Cool videos
Great looking cabin! We use to stud the wheels and ride for miles in the late fall and early spring on rivers like that. All I could think of while watching that video was racing around the next corner.. ;) Doesn't look like a lot of ice on that river though, does it ever get thick enough to venture...

you might want to consider South Dakota...
South Dakota, you don't need a physical address there, it's cheap to do and can be done completely through the mail. You will get plates and a title for your bike, no inspection necessary. You can then keep it titled in SD or if your feeling lucky, attempt to transfer it to MO. Also, Minnesota is ve...

Re: No email from the forum?
Why did I just get more than 100 emails from rideforum?
Also, why do they contain everyone's username and password?
Ok, just kidding..
New site design looks good Troy.

Re: Switched Bikes Again!
First thing I did was de-sticker it. I am not necessarily opposed to stickers but that's one of those thing I want to put on. So all the stickers are off currently. Those darned twisted throttle stickers were tough, they just kept shredding rather than peeling and yes I did use heat. Next I tore in...

Re: March 18th - Semi Local to Kansas City Ride?
Where did you end up riding? Chadwick - was a great time, weather was great. Went with Ryno, perfect guy to see it the first time with.. As mentioned above, was nervous, hadn't been on the bike much since broken wrist last fall, new baby, etc. was bit slow and indecisive for the first hour or so, b...

March 18th - Semi Local to Kansas City Ride?
An unexpected day off has popped up - Anyone up for a ride tomorrow? Haven't had much opportunity to ride this year yet, with new baby and broken wrist.. Not sure how "hardcore" am going to be, but itching to go for a ride.. I've got room in the truck for one extra bike, so no issues providing a rid...

Ya savage, it's an 11 F150 with the 5.0, still ride like a dream and more than enough power, still burns rubber with 2 bikes in the back.... Thanks a nice looking bike Daniel - is that a new one for you, or someone traveling with you? Also, saw your business the other day up in Sabetha, I think tha...

Are you up for another to tag along today? If my wrist starts acting up, I can just head back.. All am trying to say is, "I don't want to be that guy".. Lol
Maybe I can just follow Ryno and Carl down, am out in Odessa.

Re: Chadwick - Feb 20 & 21
How hard are you guys going to ride? Am coming off a broken wrist last October, got a nice plate and 10 screws.. It's all healed up, but I've only been riding short rides around the house here. No idea what my endurance is like.. Am on a 14 wr450. Would only be for today, but would you be up for ano...
Re: WUDI 2016
I would be so up for this, but.... We are expecting our second child any day now, and while I think it would be perfectly ok with attending, my significant other would have other thoughts, I believe anyway. :) Knowing her well enough, this isn't a topic worth brining up.. Please do take lots o...
