Re: October 26-28: Off-Road at Disney, OK

...I've been reading this thread I've been entertaining the idea of just riding out one morning/afternoon and meeting everyone for a quick breakfast/dinner. YEAH! Camp cook! (For those that don't know, jasoomian was a top-notch chef in a former life.) Scottie, I'm excited to hear the menu plan! Tha...

Re: October 26-28: Off-Road at Disney, OK

I would heartily agree that the majority of folks that camp at Hogan's are a bit on the 'Red-Neck'd' side of life, but, a pretty friendly bunch overall. While my little DL650 can't hang with the trails you all will be riding, Disney is just a few miles down the road from my house. So, as I've been r...

Hey, I thought PJ's was just a tad better than 'decent.' ;) South Dakota will make you some mean hash browns for breakfast. And the mexican place we went 'Carlos somethingorother' was pretty good once you got past the 'Italian Salsa.'

I've got some friends from Seattle coming in that weekend, or, I'd be down at least for part of it. But, since I can't - whoever can bring me the most WhiteCastle, there is one in Columbia, shall have my undying gratitude. You will have to deliver it to Tulsa, but, really, whats 300 miles out of you...

Wonderful pictures Troy. Can't wait to see the rest. And, since I had to postpone my own little adventure; I'll be living vicariously through yours until I CAN go.

Keep 'em coming!

Re: CounterClockwiseLoop001 - The Ride

@KC, well, get your butt in gear and let's ride! You can finish the house some other time. As long as the roof don't leak; it's all good. Congrats on the new house, by the way. @Ozarksrider, yeah, I was thinking about this yesterday, taking it in smaller bites and such. There are parts I can do even...

Re: CounterClockwiseLoop001 - The Ride

Yeah, about that... It seems that I will not be going. The time that I had had allotted for such a trip - has vanished. I could give the long story, but, it's long and fraught with even more typing, so, I won't. The short story however, well, that's different. Here are the bullet points. July 01: I ...

Re: CounterClockwiseLoop001 - The Ride

I've had this recurring thought running through my head that, as I approach the house, to make that final right turn to get into my neighborhood, I could just go straight; get back on the road, fuel up and see what the Eastern part of the US has to offer. If I had more time - I'd do exactly that, bu...

CounterClockwiseLoop001 - The Ride

For the few folks I've met here IRL from rideforum, thought I would share my own upcoming ride info/report. I'm leaving ~Aug05th for a three week'ish counter clockwise tour of the western US. From Tulsa, OK I'll travel west to the coast then head north and use the Seattle area as my u-turning point ...

Re: super tenere'

looked further into the tenere and found it to be way too heavy and under powered for its size to be a proper adventure ds. Not a good bike for much of anything really. I'll be testing a tiger next if triumph loans us one for a report. I've not ridden a Tenere, but, I did happen to read this articl...

Now that's a ride

There's listening to music while you ride, and then, well, there's playing it while your ride.

Re: Sat Jun 16: Guy & Mae's Tavern BBQ

So, Troy tells me he needs MY photos to prove his boisterous claims of being in a parade. I wonder how much I shall charge for such 'pictures?' Ominous clouds as I left Owasso, luckily it cleared up as I drove North, with only a mile or two of sprinkles before the sun finally poked it's way through ...

Re: Out of the Wild: Venezuela

I rose early on Sunday, as I do every day--easily 2 or 3 hours before the rest of my family. Sat & Sun mornings are my time to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch a movie--if I'm not out riding. So this Sun, I ended up glued to the TV for about 4 hours watching all 8 episodes of the Discovery Channel's...

This is what scares me the most about that article: "Charges of felony bail jumping.. The man (who was driving) has criminal convictions on drug-related offenses and a burglary. He also has more than four operating with a suspended license traffic offenses, according to online court records." I omit...

Fifty Years of Kicks

Saw a link to this website over at ADV about packing my DSLR to better handle the road and saw the video below on their front page. Well worth the watch, nice to know that if I can keep taking care of my own health issues, I might have more riding years left in me than I had thought ;) "Fifty Years ...

That sounds very interesting. And to think I was looking for a place to ride my bike this weekend. Decisions, decisions. North to learn something, or, southerly, into the Ouachita National Forest, East into AR, then North up into the Ozark National Forest to finally ride 123 and sample the fine cuis...

This site doesn't move a lot of bikes but every now and then a good one comes along. Everyone here is pretty active on other sites like ADVrider and KTMtalk. If you have a better idea on the specific bike you want let us know and you will probably get some good leads. I have a farkled 2000 DRZ400s ...

Re: March 10 & 11, 2012 Weekend Ride?

Hmm, I also love camping. I also have a garage full of camping stuff that it is itching to be used. Unfortunately this weekend just won't work in my schedule, at least for something that far away, but, if you find yourself itching for another ride, latter part of March or later, that involves a nigh...
