It's odd that the Craigslist ad doesn't mention prohibition. It does indicate "no smoking," which I'm all for.

Re: Ride report Colorado 2015
Great pics and ride report, Randy. It was my first time riding in Colorado, and I was glad to be with a group that knew the area so well. The weather, scenery, trails, food, and riding buddies were all tremendous! I don't yet have a ride report to go with them, but here are my pics from the trip. Le...

The evils of ethanol
I try to use ethanol-free fuel in my motorcycles whenever possible. It's expensive, but bikes use so little gas (both of mine get at least 50 MPG), it's a small price to pay. Recently, someone (I forget who) questioned this practice, and stated that ethanol was "no big deal." I continued to seek out...

Re: Learn about rallying and roadbook navigation July 16th
I'll be driving my wife's Previa (she and daughter took my Golf TDI on a road trip), so I can take 6 comfortably, if needed.

That sound great, Troy. Talking to the Dakar folks out at Freedom Cycles was always extremely interesting.

I suspect it's running around with a VStrom footpeg embedded in its side. Scott said he could only find one of the two that broke off in the crash.troy wrote:More importantly, is the deer OK?

Re: Independence Day Weekend Ride
My solo ride Sunday wasn't quite as "eventful" as my brothers. My goal was to ride east to AR-341, then back to Eureka Springs. Here's a link to the 275-mile route I ended up taking: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/9073277 . From Eureka Springs to Mountain Home, there was a lot more traffic than I wou...

Re: Independence Day Weekend Ride?
Troy- I'm definitely interested, but have to work out some logistics. I have to be Bentonville Monday afternoon, so would need to trailer my bike and leave the car and trailer some place I can get back to easily on Sunday. Which is fine with me, because I do not enjoy riding the 800 for long stretch...

Bike is in the garage and first farkles already installed!! I can't wait to get out and test it out! :D If you haven't got one already, I highly recommend a G2 Throttle Tamer. Makes all that power a lot more manageable. http://www.amazon.com/G2-Ergonomics-40-4K-K-Tamer-Throttle/dp/B002VVPZG0/ref=pd...

Ward B. and I (James B.) are planning to meet Thursday at 6:30am at the QuikTrip at 150 and 291 in Lee's Summit. We will be riding Chadwick on Thursday and Friday, then returning Friday night or early Saturday morning (flexible). There is room for a couple more bikes and riders, if that schedule wor...

Mike, The weather, food, riding, and company couldn't have been better. Well, perhaps if you had been able to join us, at least the company would have been. The new bike ran great for the most part . Once on Thursday, and once on Friday, it failed to start, and the Fuel Injection (FI) light started ...
