Re: What GPS to purchase??
I'm going to purchase the montana just can't decide between the 600 and the 650t. The only differences is that the 650t has a camera and the garmin topo...for $100. I could care less about the camera but wonder if the topo is worth the $100?

Re: Jan. 21 (Sun.) Ride
Stu, It doesn't appear that my son and I will be able to make it....last weekend I hit an ice spot going 35mph and landed right on my hip. Thought that I still have a 20 year old body and would recover in time for this sunday....not going to happen as I'm still limping around. Darn, we really wanted...

Re: What GPS to purchase??
I was thinking of paying the extra and getting the 650T with the topo until I read the following from a review: "I do not recommend paying the extra for the 650t; I suggest getting the Montana 650 instead. The 650t includes preloaded 100K scale topos, but you can get much more detailed 24K scale top...

Re: What GPS to purchase??
Thanks for all the information....I definitely know more about GPS then a month ago. Based on feedback from this forum, and my research, it seems that the Montana 600 is what I'm going with. Has the advantages of the 60cs but with the bigger touchscreen. Kindof expensive, although much cheaper on Am...

Re: What GPS to purchase??
Thanks for the comments....I can't believe how many different gps models are on the market...makes it very confusing. I checked out KTM talk and most of those riders use some version of the 60cs. Guess I will check those out among others and the Nuvi 500...a friend has that model and really likes it.

What GPS to purchase??
After much ridicule about my crumpled, old fashioned maps, I've decided to get up to date and purchase a GPS. I have a Garmin, hand held etrex with such a small screen that there is no way to see and use the GPS while riding a motorcycle. I would like one that is large enough and durable such that I...

Re: Chadwick Fall 2011 Photos
Great pics....looks like a few of the pics with the big rock ledges are, "Dairy Queen Hill (124A)", supposed to be the toughest trail at Chadwick....always a lot of bike parts along the sides of the trail!

Re: Arkansas ride Oct. 21-23
Is the lodge that same cabin by the creek, just North of Turners Bend, then up the road to the left? Not sure where you are talking about but the lodge isn't next to a creek. It is about 4-5 miles north of Turners Bend on 23. Here is the coordinates to the Mulberry Mt: N35 42.678 W93 47.999 We are ...

Re: Arkansas ride Oct. 21-23
We are open to what everybody wants to do although probably more dual sport. After riding dual sport for a day I get the urge to ride more of the gnarly so we may split into different groups.

Arkansas ride Oct. 21-23
We are planning a weekend ride in Arkansas, Oct. 21-23, and wanted to see if anybody wants to join...the more the better. We will drive to Buffalo Point campground, about 4:15 hours from Lees Summit. The plan is to base out of Buffalo Point and ride in a different direction each day. Our plan is to ...

Re: Has anyone tried one of these???
Recently, I did some research to replace the battery on my KTM 300XCW. Initally I was going to get a Turntech battery but for the money the Shorai batteries are rated better. I've had mine a few months now without any problems.

We've been intending to respond but just haven't been able to get out much. There a couple us riders who live close to you, Raintee Lake, and have flexibility so can ride on monday or tuesday. I'm busy this monday and tuesday and next week out of town those days but maybe the 20 or 21st. Let me know...
