Re: Fall TARkansas ride
Either way, I'm thinking of doing a pre-ride sometime mid to late September if anybody wants to join me. Big bike or little for the pre ride? Jim Depending on the starting point, I would probably take either my 300xcw or 450 exc. Most of the trails could be ridden on a bigger bike but I just have m...

For sure you can join us. We would love to gleam some of your, "local", knowledge of the trails. Do you know Bo from Dover? He joined us for our Spring ride and showed us trails we never would have found on our own.

Re: Fall TARkansas ride
Based on feedback it appears the October 11-13 weekend works for most of us so lets plan on October 11-13 as the Fall, semi-annual TARkansas ride. The group pretty much unanimously agreed on packing our stuff and staying at a different location each night. So plan on packing your toothbrush, extra p...

Hope to see you.

Re: Any interest in a Pomme De Terre ride 8/9,10,11?
9:30 should work for us. I guess we'll make it official. Let's meet at the Maple Hill truck stop on the south side of I-70 at 9:30. See you guys there! I will be at Maple Hill , at 9:30 Sunday. Kendall, are you taking the big bike or 350? I'm thinking my 450. Now that it is official, who else is co...

Re: Any interest in a Pomme De Terre ride 8/9,10,11?
"Maple City", "Maple Hill"...in KS? Where are you guys talking about? Maple City, KS is E of Arkansas City almost to the Oklahoma border. I'm assuming that Randy meant Maple Hill, but I guess it could be possible that he was talking about down south. I'd be more inclined to ride near Maple Hill, th...

Re: Any interest in a Pomme De Terre ride 8/9,10,11?
This weekend is starting to look questionable at this point. Pomme de Terre Lake appears to be in a flash flood watch and all the Missouri flooding on the news is only about 30-40 miles away from the campground we planned on staying in this weekend. To add to it, the weather forecast is calling for...

Re: KTM shorty levers, reduced pull
I've got these levers on my 450 EXC clutch and they work great. I'm not sure of the physics, shorter but much easier to pull, but I can vouch for the fact that they do work. If I remember correctly, kind of expensive, but worth it.

That sucks, Randy! I was wondering if you were still planning on going out there since Kramer couldn't go with you. It may not be single track in the Rockies, but if you're jones-ing to ride you could join us on this one- http://www.rideforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1974 :D Depending on the weather...

Re: Colorado OHV permit
It is interesting / frustrating that the FS employees selling the permits don't even know. However, my logic says when you are out riding maintained, Forest Service signed singletrack, the fact you have a road title and license plate don't mean anything while on that trail. The permit is payment to...

Re: Colorado OHV permit
Last week Brian, Tracy, and I stop at the Yamaha dealer in Silverthorne to buy permits. Owner, a very nice guy, tells us he doesn't sell them but the FS regional office (two blocks away) does. He sees our plated KTM's on the trailer and asks us why we need permits. Short story, seems nobody in Summ...

Colorado OHV permit
We were all set to leave this Friday for a week of riding in Colorado when my son broke his arm. Needless to say, the trip is cancelled. I had pre-purchased two Colorado OHV permits and was thinking maybe somebody could use them. Since it appears that I'm not going to make it this year, anybody goin...

So: Foster prefers NOT to do Oct 11-13 James prefers NOT to do Oct 18-20 or 25-27 Troy prefers NOT to do Oct 18-20 FYI on Mulberry Mt and the Oct 17-19 weekend. They are having their country music festival there that weekend so Mulberry wouldn't be an option. That being said Mulberry is a good opti...
