I have wished for a little AC on hot days! Since I doubt that thing is water proof I have explored other options.

We all have seen the cooler strapped down to the rear fender of a bike or two before so I say why not!!!

Re: Getting gassy
I had the same problem but mine was due to the cold temps. The rubber gasket between the petcock and gas tank had a problem with "shrinkage". I was able to get a 1/4 turn on the bolts and it stopped.
It might be worth a quick check to see if that is your problem.

Re: BEST OIL THREAD!!!
Back in the day when I had a IT 250e Yamaha I ran Bel-Ray because I loved the smell :D Do they even make Bel-Ray anymore??? For my Husky the factory recommends 10w-60. Well good luck finding that so I go with Mobil synthetic Gold cap, I thing it is 10w-50. I can't believe it's snowing again and -1 f...

Re: New member to forum. Hello everyone!
For trail riding IMHO the lighter the better. I would actually think about a 250 four stroke, maybe even the Husky TE310 if I had to do all over again. All of the Husqvarna line of 4 strokes are street legal as are the KTMs, I think.... Check this 2 stroke beauty! http://www.husqvarna-motorcycles.co...

Re: New member to forum. Hello everyone!
Welcome to the board! It will be difficult to find a bike that will be happy doing 100+ miles on the road and be great for the off road trails. There are bikes out there that will do both but one will be better for the dual sporting (gravel roads) and not so good off road. Then the other is better o...

Out for a while....
I'm scheduled to have surgrey on my shoulder next month and depending on what they have to do I will be out 4-6 months :( I tried not to have surgrey through aggressive PT, but it is just not working. I was thinking during my eval with the surgeon that I wasn't going to have it done. Then he pressed...

Re: Freeman Off-Road Resort in Missouri
Looks good Troy! This is a wonderful place to ride and I would highly recommend it. Do like Troy says, pay for the lady to cook breakfast and have Link lead you it is worth every penny. Besure to have hand guards on your bars, you will need them. Also if you are shy about water crossings you won't b...

Re: KTM seats
I love my Renazco seat! It is worth every penny of the $300.00 price tag. It has been said that the KTM seats feel like a 2x4 and the Husky seats are a 2x4 :D You have to send in your seat because he reuses you seat pan. http://www.renazco.com/default.cfm Another option is Corbin and I think they us...

Wow Hayden! A lesser rider wouldn't have been able to come out on injuried.
All kidding a side I'm glad you and the boxer are okay. Two years ago my wife was at a stop sign and a deer hit her causing a nice body shop bll. You just never know where they will be....

Re: I got in! Shane Watts Dirtwise school
Shane's staff sent me an email to let me know I'd be getting a refund and that they hope to do the school in 2nd quarter 2010--which is very promising news for Shane's recovery hopes! I inquired about Shane's condition and got a personal reply from Shane himself! Check out this amazing attitude! G'...

Interesting Doctor Visit Today
I had an appointment today for an MRI with contrast on my shoulder, due to a crash back in July. So I went in prepared for “The Lecture” about riding dirt bikes at my age (47). I’m setting there on the x-ray table the doctor walks in a room across the hallway and starts washing his hands. He says “W...

Just remember Troy we will be there to help you up when you fall "expertly" I wish I could go, but for a number of medical and social reasons I can't. Just don't let Shane get you on a KTM!

Re: I'm legal!
Ask your doctor if the gentle compression from off road riding will help to stimulate bone growth? Seriously, I used to work for a spine surgeon and you will need every bit of 6 months for a soil fusion. Doing your exercises is the most important thing. So I would do them in front of your new KTM as...
