I'm not sure my wheel chocks are heavy enough for GSes. If thumper hauling I'd let you use my 6x10 enclosed, good tires & spare, 2" ball and flat wiring plug, no brakes.

Re: Wheel bearing retainer clip...
I didn't see what bike you are working on, I'd have to look at a parts fiche to determine how important that snap ring is. It's probably beefy enough cheap snap ring pliers might have trouble. AFAIK snap rings are punched out then heat treated, one side feels almost rounded and the other kinda sharp...

Re: Question about riding etiquette
I wouldn't worry about it, you didn't turn off the road and you didn't abandon him. It's a handfull of task juggling to lead, watch the gps, traffic, wildlife and your mirrors. One buddy has an HID headlight, another has a hi vis helmet that makes it easy to keep track of. Myself, I don't like ridin...

Re: KS Gypsum Hills Camp & Ride
I've been told a couple from Florida bought it and scrubbed all the patina off. I did run across a story about the original owner, Buster Hathaway who ran it for 45yrs, he passed away in 1996.troy wrote:Buster's is a cool place!
I found another track to add.

Troy, those are my tracks from 08? and 09, clumsily combined, where the grid pattern roads end. Fuel in Med Lodge and Coldwater, Buster's in Sun CIty is food only AFAIK.

Re: Sept 23rd anyone want to ride with a newb in or around C
Sorry, I'm headed in the other direction this weekend. I carry tire fixing tools, spare tubes, 12v pump, tool roll, cell phone and a can of fix a flat. Following along creeks and rivers usually means interesting curves and elevation changes. ajayhawkfan has a gps file of interesting waypoints he's c...

Re: Use Basecamp? Beware of losing your data!
Thanks Troy! Wasn't too thrilled about learning basecamp anyway. Nice thing about the Montana is I can copy and paste tracks right to the sd card without using mapsource.
EDIT: CO RR you might enjoy, might be something you missed..

Re: Rusty Jug Ride Sept 8,
Glad you guys had a good ride. The photos look like you have some cool things to see in your area. Is that bridge only for walking now? Did I see katbeanz in there? Hi, Dean! Hi Troy! Cool stuff, I never knew about the jeep on Am Flag, is that recent? There's supposed to be a bunch of old wrecks along Agate Creek that didn't make one of the turns on Monarch. http://advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19310751&postcount=7 After updating mapsource topo I finally rediscovered some st...
