Re: Last Minute Get Together for Dinner and camping.
Count me in and maybe one more, buddy Marty from Nevada. I'll have enough food and spirits for myself, Marty and Gene who will likely ride in. I'll get extra to share.

Looks like Black Bear/Bridal Veil falls may be a no go for your trip, road construction.

Re: Ouray, CO
If your schedule permits a couple days to acclimate will make your trip much more enjoyable. The upper parts of Imogene are the toughest, on the Ouray side you probably don't want to go past Sneffels, and on the Telluride side no higher than Tomboy mine with your Dad on a KLR. If you wanted to attem...
Re: Ouray, CO
I have some tracks on adv laying down tracks rockies. The west side of Engineer is a little rough, I often ride California, Hurricane, Corkscrew instead but all those are more challenging than Owl Creek. Animas Forks is a really cool ghost town, I haven't been to Carson in a few. Between California ...

Finally got around to uploading my pics... http://www.flickr.com/photos/36630181@N06/sets/72157633171823625/ Enjoyed your pictures, almost like being there! The old mill is cool, my family has some farmland which had a mill on it in the 1850's. It may have looked like the one in your pictures. :mrg...

Re: Photo Bucket's New Site
I think it was AnnieGS that posted about irfanview on ADV, it's freeware and resizes pictures in a snap. It also has a pretty decent auto enhancement feature. My point being, it might be faster to resize your pics before you upload them, most of the stuff on photobucket ioads pretty slow. I got a fu...

Re: Liability insurance
Liability coverage does NOT protect YOUR BIKE/car/boat/etc, it does protect YOUR ASSETS (house, investments, etc.) when someone is hurt of other property is damaged by you or your property. Like many, I don't insure what I can easily pay to replace. I can afford to buy a replacement KTM. What I can...

I Anyone got tracks are routes through the area? I have put together some routes for a three day ride all starting and ending in Mena due to fuel availability in the area. I wish I had tracks from the fall colors tour circa 1999, rode with a guy from Wichita but back then it was all roll charts and...

I always enjoy browsing through the selection of gear at Motorcycle Closeouts store up in Smithville. It used to be a regular visit for me when I lived up that way. If I had any time off, I'd love to join you and include a BBQ lunch along the way. If going to MC Closeouts the Mexican restaurant Cas...

Dibs on the TKC's! I did pick up an extra rear wheel in ADV flea market, I think I'm going to fit it with a Kenda big block and a 45 tooth for more road oriented stuff since 908RR's are out of sight.
Looks like the big blocks are comparable in price to a 606.
