Re: Hillbilly dual sport ride
Thanks for a great time! I really enjoyed the Castle Bluffs area over by Jasper. I chickened out on the Little Buffalo Crossing and turned around then got a sudden rear flat. I pulled out a 20d nail that the way it was bent made an entry and exit wound so slime didn't help with the second hole. I fo...

Re: Hillbilly dual sport ride
Wow! You put a lot of work into that! I figured out how to deal with gdb. I downloaded it but since my mapsource didn't want to open it I uploaded to gpsvisualizer.com and it converted it to gpx. I first copied and pasted the xml from the gpsvisualizer window not seeing the link to the gpx. P...

Thanks guys, I sent her a couple links with reviews of nuvis and I learned what text to speech is. I think the 200 would be fine for what she wants.

Re: I don't know how to discribe this.
I didn't read past the first page, sad. On another note, would you have any recommendations for an automotive gps for my sister? I'd like her to get a garmin, one of the nuvi's probably, and the simpler the better. Dean

Nice to see you guys again and I'm glad you had fun. I got an early start and got home about 10 this am. I've been skulking around in lowflyer and Bake's smugmugs, they both have a great eye for pictures. Dean

Will do, it looks pretty interesting west of ML, no grid pattern, just a bunch of squiggly lines.

Kyle. Im still in on this. Just hit me with what time we need to leave here. Kats, what time do we need to hook up with you and where on Sat morning? Hayden I think it's supposed to be in the low 40's at night, I doubt anyone will be riding super early but maybe 8:30ish would be good. There aren't ...

Cool, I was planning on meeting 2whelman down there thursday night, but he was in a work accident and won't be attending. Lowflyer isn't going until friday, I got to ride with him last weekend and had a great time.

Kansas Gypsum Hills, Medicine Lodge, Oct 3rd, 4th
Myself and some guys on ADV are going to meet up to ride backroads and camp at Medicine Lodge Kansas in a few days. I'm sure more would be welcome, I expect this ride to be scenic but not really challenging. I'm looking forward to riding with 2whelman and lowflyer again. I'd guess this ride would be...

Re: Where to buy tires online?
Hi Eddie, I like americanmototire, fast shipping and good prices. You can shame Dennis Kirk into beating anyone else's price by $1 or something, but it's enough of a hassle I usually don't bother.

Re: The cheap fix
Thanks for the tip on hobby lobby mirrors, I was using automotive blind sport mirrors rtv-ed into my ken seans but would prefer they be flat and not convex. If you want some cheap saddlebags tractor supply online has some horse ones for $27. I like my atv tank panniers and sometimes run them as mini...

Arkansas Fall Colors Tour 08 Oct 24th-25th
Those of you on R.L. Lemke's mailing list have already gotten the news that he won't be involved in this year's ride. There are a bunch of us that are going to go ahead and ride it again anyway armed with gps tracks from past events, an unorganized, no banquet, non event. Most guys will stayi...

I leave next Thursday AM early for West Fest in Lake City so I will have a chance to see for myself.... Stu Me too, my buddy Larry is coming along, we'll be in cabin 9. The ranger dude can only be on Ophir, Black Bear and Imogene, there's plenty of stuff to ride east of 550. We're going to ride out...

Re: Mena, Arkansas????
It's been a while, the first couple fall colors tours I went to in 1999 and 2000 were based in Mena. I think I can dig up a gps track or two. I've been planning on doing more DS in arkansas this fall. Dean
