Hi Dean looks like Montana did not suck. Just about cool enough to head to Ar? Marty Hi Marty, another month or so at the earliest I'd think. Got to rustle up a wood pile and stock up on snakebite meds. There's talk of a little doins back at white rock around nov 1st or 2nd. The fall colors tour is...

Hey Lee, was watching a guy's spot tracker on the 50/50 ride saturday, the only two that completed it were Will and Jen. There were quite a few paved passes but next year is supposed to be the toughest yet with lots of singletrack.

Can you make a small jumper wire with ring terminals on both ends? Made a call to a former bmw tech for some coaching. 1150's don't have CANBUS, so you can probably make a short jumper, recommended soldered ring terminals with bolts and 6ga wire, take care not to short across ABS, could get expensiv...

Very cool Troy! BTW, one of the ADV rockies inmates is getting ready to go to a shane watts school. I told her you might not mind answering a couple questions and posted a link to your watts thread. I know on ADV to embed a youtube link I copy and paste the embed code into wordpad, then add what I g...

Re: To SIT or to STAND that is the ? But is standing LEGAL?!
A friend of mine is a Capt. in the KCPD and I asked him about standing. He said most of the KC police have better things to do then pull someone over for standing however it will cause them to watch you closely to see if you do anything else. When you were briefly lit up by the unmarked popo after ...

Thanks guys, here a few more pictures of Bannack I didn't post to the "other" site since someone had beat me to it with their pics of the same stuff. here's an excerpt from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bannack,_Montana "Bannack's sheriff, Henry Plummer, was accused by some of secretly leading a...

ADV WestFest Montana and Idaho
Having always wanted to venture beyond Colorado, this years ADV westfest rally was the perfect opportunity to have a support network and riding buddies. It was based in the Bitterroot valley of western Montana in the small town of Darby. The elevations weren't as high as what you'd get in CO, but it...

Would anyone be able to give me directions? http://www.kingofthehill.org/ Congrats on the knee surgery, someday me too most likely. Troy and I checked the hillclimb out one time on the way back from Troy's ride to Troy which actually went to White Cloud also. I guess it's the same place, on the sou...

I'd wondered what you were up to this weekend, Eddie. I was in Arkansas last weekend for the SLAP rally, rode friday with Njoytheride from Ozark AR to brunch at Oark and on to points east. Saturday, I led a group of six across fly gap to lunch at Oark. I had coconut pie at lunch and buttermilk pie a...

If you could postpone a few days I'm heading that way soon. Gimme a call or come up for Rusty's movie night tonight.
EDIT, was led to believe I would be off next week, turns out that is not the case. Arkansas will still be there.

Re: Mountain ride to help you think about summer
Yes, got out yesterday for about 50 miles, it runs very well for stock. I think I'll get out again today dressed a little warmer. I've had a couple of nibbles on the Husky from here on your site. I'm a little overpriced with the miles, half worn tires and most guys prefer the uptite skid plate.

Supposedly Penske's trucks are usually in better condition and much cheaper that uhaul. You're not alone, an ADV rockies inmate is stuck in Amarillo on a fly-n-ride back to CO from GA with his new to him 990. He's getting a truck.

Re: Looking for a DOT knobby
If anyone has a line on a good non-DOT knobby that has good longevity and reasonable price, I'm fine with it.... I don't need to have DOT. The Maxxiss Maxcross IT is sold as a dirt-only tire. I only discovered by accident it had a DOT designation stamped on it. 120/100-18 (150! probably feels slow ...
