Re: What GPS to purchase??
It is very confusing with all the new models. You'll probably want to steer clear of the Nuvi if you want to do offroad trails. AFAIK they won't accept tracks and the only maps you have are the ones it was made with. I don't think the 60csx has a much bigger display than your etrex, but the 60csx is...

Re: KS Deer Hunters wanted
Eddie, I mentioned this to my former work partner who lives in Tongie. He and his son might be up for this, and I'll mention the issues you've had with trespassers.
That's a beautiful piece of land and I appreciate you showing me around.

Re: Colorado 11
So how did your guys bikes run up there? Did u have to rejet? Normally, I do rejet, but in this case I used a stock CV carb with jetting for our elevation. It ran fairly clean, and fuel mileage was acceptable. I'll hit Devro up for the gps stuff, more than likely he'll oblige us. :D EDIT: I did ask...

As you leave downtown going north along the riverwalk it's will be on your left, forgot the name. Not sure on the current status of Burger Barn in Wathe...

If the weather doesn't get too sucky, couple of the guys I rode CO with plan to camp @ mulberry. Same as you, 28th-31st, Marty could't go this weekend. DocLewall posted a 180 mile track in the adv tx and gulf states shores lake camping thread. CCryder, formerly of Smithville, has a thread up ...

Last time I'd done Stony was years ago, then Kite Lake and Beartown, I recalled the Pole Creek crossing being deep and wide. We didn't go down that far this time, my buddy Randy did the nav work routing us on a 4wd trail that started about where Pole Creek singletrack ends and looped back east to co...

I had previously jetted them on our dyno (these bikes come set up too lean). Ok, I'll bite ... "our dyno"? I work with Cafe Racer in Kansas City. We run a Factory Pro dyno. 8) Can I ask how much that costs without incurring Troy's wrath? I met the guy that does the chicken noises once, but f...

I saw your post on ADV KC photo tag, I led a ride @ SLAP 08 from Dawt Mill to Hodgson and points beyond. KCDakar and 2Whelman were with me, then rode to the ghost town of Rush Arkansas the next day.
Someday I'll have a bike that can keep up.

Re: KLR's & Carburetors Opinions Please
I guess your KLR would has a CV carb, which is altitude compensating to a certain degree. Your HP is going to be down from from what you are used to. I don't use a cv carb, and I want maximum performance and fuel economy so I usually drop two sizes on the main jet and don't go much below 8000 ft. It...
