Re: Learn about rallying and roadbook navigation July 16th

Great presentation, Luc! I didn't get an accurate head-count, but there were 14 or more people in the audience. Good turnout! Big thanks to Cycle Zone for staying open late to host the event. Thanks also for offering attendees 15% off clothing & accessories during the event. Lots of folks picked up...

Re: Learn about rallying and roadbook navigation July 16th

That's good James. Some folks may opt to go with you instead since I'm planning to stop by the gay bar after Luc's presentation before heading home. I assume most folks are OK with that, but you never know.

Scott & James, we'll see you tomorrow evening before 6 at Five Guys to head to Cycle Zone. A couple other guys are coming as well. So if anyone else wants in on the carpool, speak up. 8)

Re: Learn about rallying and roadbook navigation July 16th

If you want to carpool with me, be at the Five Guys at Legends no later than 5:55 pm. It is 1 hour from Legends to Cycle Zone. We need to be there by 7 pm. So we need to be rolling before 6 pm. To keep logistics simple, I plan to eat a Cheeseburger at Five Guys at Legends. I will arrive at Five Guys...

Re: Learn about rallying and roadbook navigation July 16th

Where are you thinking of meeting to carpool? Unfortunately due to some complicated logistics I can't explain, the ONLY place I can meet folks is Tulsa, OK. Does that work for you? JUST KIDDING. I don't care and I'm willing to drive a little out of my way. I live in S Overland Park along Hwy 69 at ...

This stunt is not a cycle...and may or may not be as impressive as Troys post, but difficult and daring none the less. If you have operated one of these machines it helps you understand how impressive it is to accomplish this feat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doNmniQrhBU That's amazing! I have ...

Yeah, I guess you have to assume that they rode to the lake and that canoe and raft were just sitting there waiting. How convenient! We didn't find that in Arkansas last weekend!

Who wants to carpool from the KC metro? How about dinner at the Topeka Burger Stand @ 6pm? (rumor is this is a great place and a great burger) 6pm dinner in Topeka means leaving KC at 5pm. Let's see how big a crowd we can get there for Luc! Share this event on all your social media. Here is a short ...

Re: Sharing Photos on RideForum.NET

Sucks for staying at Mulberry Mt because it makes a bunch of the big bike routes to the north a major pain to get to. Since Fly Gap is the gateway to most of the dualsport routes North of Mulberry, I assume the road closure is between Mulberry Mountain and Fly Gap? If so, a guy could head N out of ...

Just asking if I should do something different than I did? I used the at the top of the page and pasted the URL tag from photo bucket between the two. And yes you are "Geeky" but that's ok, it allows riders like me to enjoy your site! No. You should use the "Img" button to create image tags that lo...

Sharing Photos on RideForum.NET

A little note on "putting photos on RideForum.NET" for every one. This is a subject that folks seem to be confused about over and over. I get asked a lot, "How do I get my pictures onto RideForum?" The answer is, "You don't!" OK, technically, you can upload file directly to the forum, but I strongly...

Re: Independence Day Weekend Ride

Did ya'll hike up Dear Leap Trail to the overlook? It's a fairly rugged trail, but the overlook is nice. We did not, and I've never been up there. I'm always in full, heavy motorcycle gear and boots, so never feel like making the trek up there. Kendall was with us and said it's pretty cool up there...

Carl, you feeling OK? Need an intervention, buddy? Thanks for posting this pic, btw--DANG I make that new Olympia jacket look good!
