Glad to hear it Motoracer13! The weather forecast has changed a bit. Presidents' Day: Partly cloudy, with a high near 57. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 19 to 22 mph decreasing to between 10 and 13 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. So we should see some sunshine and relatively WARM weathe...

I've created route. It's called "Plattsburg". The route combines some good roads I am familiar with as well as a lot of new stuff that looks good on the maps and satellite photos. When I route unknown stuff, there will be roads that I think are gravel or dirt and end up being narrow blacktop. This r...

I know not everybody who wants to can do this ride on Monday, but I'm strongly leaning for Monday. There is a lot more snow on the ground right now than I anticipated. It should all melt off by sometime tomorrow and an extra day of drying and warming will only make things better for us by Monday. No...

That photo album was one of many attempts to lead people on my "Doniphan County" or "White Cloud" ride. Schedules and rain kept us from ever completing it! Actually, katbeanz, his friend Larry, and I did a version of the ride which is what caused me to create the route in the first place. I found it...

Re: Sun 2/18 or Mon 2/19
The river RD to Atchison would be a lot of fun. The river road would be a muddy mess because of all the snow melt we should have by that time. I know from personal experience how muddy that road gets! I'm not sure I want to work that hard my first ride of 2007. ;) http://home.troywolf.com/SiteAlbum...

Yeah, we had almost blizzard conditions in the KC Northland on my way home from work. With all this snow on the ground and 44+ and sunny on Sunday, the off-road riding areas will be a total mess. So a gravel road ride it is. We'll keep playing it by ear. Whether I ride is also dependent on me gettin...

I want to ride. I want to ride real bad. I want to ride so bad I can taste a mixture of oil and dirt. Weather forecast: Sunday: 44 and sunny Monday: 49 and cloudy Monday is President's Day, and I have it off since I work in the financial industry. Anybody else have Monday off? Any of you want to bun...

Free battery acid--come by and I'll top you off
My DR350 battery needed to be topped off so I bought some battery acid. The only available option was 6 quarts when all I needed was about 5 or 6 ounces! It was not expensive---I'd have gladly paid twice for a pint of acid to not have 6 quarts of acid laying around. SO...anybody who wants their batt...

Re: Protection
I use the Moose chest protector and Moose jersey. The chest protector is the only one with adequate shoulder protection as well as back and chest. The Moose jersey has padding in the shoulders. I have crashed really hard racing and trail riding. They have both done a great job protecting me, and th...

Troy I saw this on Discovery last night and it was impressive, it is called Dragon Skin and it is the latest in body armor. Like Mike said the idea is spread the impact out. Check it out, but it might cost a little more... Perfect. I need something to protect me from bullets. I like to dualsport in...

Re: 661
I have worn a 661 pressure suit for two years (fall 2005). I have worn it on all of the DS rides I have done in that time, including my CO trip and the two AR trips I have done with you. Funny as much as I've ridden with you, I wasn't sure what it was you used! ;) Gee...and all this time, we just t...

Protective Body Armor Suits
If you have specific experience with any of these products, I'm looking for advice.... I rode with a standard MX-style chest protector last year until it went to pieces on me in the Ozarks. Then I wrecked last fall while not wearing any chest protection....and cracked a rib or 3. So I'm sold on the ...

I wondered about some sort of calendar that users could self edit. That way you could put in rides and link to the thread or something like that. That is a STUPID idea. Who'd want something silly like that?! Just kidding of course...that's something I've wanted to do really since day one. There are...
