Re: May 18th Adventure ride, El dorado springs, Mo

It's says taptalk down load or forum which one do I push? I'm not familiar with the Tapatalk app, so I don't know how to help you. Eddie? I'll make a stab at this based on my assumptions. I believe Tapatalk offers a limited amount of file storage space with your account and you can pay to add more ...

Make you want a 2-stroke!

I know we have some real die-hard 2-stroke fans here. I've never been one. Perhaps for the simple reason I never had a 2-stroke to play with as I got into motorcycles. Last year I picked up an old 99 KTM 300 EXC from a fellow RideForum member, and that machine definitely puts big grins on my face. H...

Re: May 18th Adventure ride, El dorado springs, Mo

Yes, AdvRider's custom forum system makes embedding items easier than phpBB , the #1 forum software on the Internet. There are several things I'd like to change, but doing my own customization means major headaches at upgrade time. It's important that RideForum.NET not become a burden to manage--I'm...

Re: Fine dining experience

How ironic, my brother and I are doing a brothers thing this week in Arkansas. My brother isn't an off road motorcycle rider so I'm leaving Monday and spending a couple days riding the BMW then he is flying down.(he is a private pilot) We are going to do some hiking on trails and some hiking on a g...

My first valve adjustment

I'm bragging on myself! I just wrapped up my first ever valve adjustment, and my 2007 450 EXC has never run better. It was a daunting task to start the first time, but was actually quite simple. Thanks mostly to safiri for sending me the instructions and tips and explaining things over the phone bef...

Re: Fine dining experience

Glad you had a great time, Dave! I've actually seen the toilet paper in trash can requirement many times. It's usually some run-down place with an ancient septic system. I have not given this all that much thought, but putting toilet paper in the trash is probably a lot better for the ecosystem and ...

Repack a muffler

As it turns out, I had never repacked a muffler before. I have to admit I probably had never even heard of it until 2 years ago! I guess when you don't race or hang out with guys racing dirt bikes, there's just a lot of stuff you probably don't even think of. At least that makes me feel less dumb. I...

Re: Reality TV: Neale Bayly Rides

I actually don't have cable or satellite TV. I'm riding the free airwaves, baby....which means I have about 7 channels of mostly primary network broadcasts. I'll have to get this show through alternate methods...like when Jasoomian bittorrents it for me or creates an AVI file and posts it up on the ...

Re: Reality TV: Neale Bayly Rides

ARGH! I had not realized the conflict. If only they made a device that could record one show while you watch another. Likewise, it would be awesome if there was a simple machine that you could put a slice of bread into and within a minute or so, it would come out toasted. It sucks heating up the bro...

Re: May 18th Adventure ride, El dorado springs, Mo

Todd, SORRY I couldn't make the ride and for this late response. I was wrapped up in the backyard birthday extravaganza I threw for my daughter's 6th birthday this past Sat. It was an all day affair with inflatable bouncy houses, music, snowcones, hotdogs, etc. I spent all day Sun in a daze and tryi...

Re: 1st Annual RideForum Enduro Skills Challenge!

For anyone considering trying a teeter totter that also happens to ride mountain bikes...It takes the perfect combination of balance, timing, speed control, weight distribution (both forward/back and side/side), etc. My hat is off to anyone who is good at it! Kendall, the teeter totter would be for...

Re: 1st Annual RideForum Enduro Skills Challenge!

The hop up onto that huge log balance beam is really cool. However, the tractor tire double jump is insane...and the one on his practice track was small compared to the one in the real race. The rest of those obstacles I feel I could get through with some practice...obviously not competition worthy,...

Ha! No...I'm still miffed that I'm not one of the 3 guys holding a trophy in the photo above. Tough judging! You miss one obstacle and you go to the back of the pack. I was robbed. ROBBED I SAY! :D I had a blast! Kyle (& Monica) hosted a great event. Perfect weather, perfect ground conditions, great...

Re: 1st Annual RideForum Enduro Skills Challenge!

I can only commit to part of a day due to honey-do chores. If you would be interested, I can put together a DS route for the afternoon. I have some good roads towards Westy and north that should be interesting after the rain. Should be less than 100 miles easy. Just an option in case the spillway g...
