Re: New Motorcycle Movie - Why We Ride
Looks like the Kansas City showing is "pending". Perhaps AMC is waiting to see if enough demand develops to justify the cost?

I will be there is spirit, knee surgery this week and I will be on crutches for six short weeks! 6 short weeks then how long before you are back on a dirt bike?! We miss you, D. So I ordered one of these safety vests thinking it would be wise for the trail maintenance day. http://www.amazon.com/Nei...

Re: Heated First Gear Jacket
Thanks for the testimonial! The tip of my right thumb is the thing I can't get to stay warm, but I'm a man, so I just keep riding. Troy, so your toes are no longer a problem? :D My toe solution is $1.50 toe warmers in my boots. Need 2 sets for a long day of riding because the heat only lasts ...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
I'll be arriving Saturday morning with Stu. I have also posted a thread on http://www.mokanriders.com to see if anyone is interested in bringing their ATV out to lend a hand. Mark Dang it! I forgot about mokanriders.com -- a nice site and active community. (Did not come up in my general Googling.) ...

Thanks, Eddie! Depending on how the ATV situation looks closer to the event, I might come get it if I think we need it.ajayhawkfan wrote:I know it is out of the way but you are welcome to come to the cabin and pick up my ATV. Battery is shooting craps but it has pull cord as well.

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
I just returned from School Creek; went out this morning for a sneak preview. We have got our work cut out for us; things are ugly out there. I will bring my ATV and can play taxi. A large majority of the trails are dangerous for ATV's because the motorcycle traffic has cut the center so deep. The ...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
I'm in...I don't have a gas chain saw but I'm pretty good with my long handled pruning shears. Back in the day, when cutting trails for the Lawrence Enduro we used gas powered trimmers with a rotary blade. Very effective for cutting saplings at ground level. Thanks, Phil! Glad you can help. Thanks ...

This club has been on the board since March!! :D A good number of RF members signed up back then. http://rideforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1884 DOH! How did I forget that? Thanks, Bob! I think they should let RideForum.NET host their discussion board (they don't currently have one)---an SCTRC sub f...

...... Moridin gave me this idea---is anyone in our community a pro or really good hobby photographer? (Stu?) It would be great to have a photographer (or team) to document the day--especially before and after photos of the trails. If we have enough people show up and make a big enough difference a...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
From this thread and other feedback, we already have 8 people coming to work Saturday, Nov 23! We need more for sure. It would be incredibly fun to have 20+ people working that day. It would feel more like a party than working. (Can you tell I haven't been to very many parties?!) My apologies to the...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 23 ? IMMEDIATE feedback requested. I communicated with Dan Johnson of FMHSC and Kim Jackson of SCORVA. Dan advises us to set a date and let them know. He thinks as many as 10 folks from their race community could come help. Kim was pleased to know we have this interest--they've st...

Kids on minibikes! What's more fun than that?! On my way home from riding Chadwick this past weekend (WOOHOO!) I picked up a like new 2009 Honda CRF50 for my daughter, Rachel. She is 6.5 years old but not really able to ride her bike proficiently. Seeing the little red dirt bike might have motivated...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
The Forward Motion group just had a harescramble out there on 10/20. I wonder if they did any trail maintenance beforehand. Even if they did, I'm sure there is still much to be done. If this gets scheduled, I'll do my best to be there and help. Yes--the Forward Motion group. That is another target ...
