Re: Sunday September 28: Perry Lake ORV Work Day!
Good work everybody! Trails are looking terrific! Luc I was very happy with the turnout and the progress we made, and I think Reece with the Corps was pleased as well. He mentioned the idea of making this an annual event and he even talked to a place that would sponsor us with pizza lunch. Next tim...

http://perrylake.org/ says we'll be starting about 9am, but folks can show up earlier or later. I suppose the more folks show up ready to work by 9 makes the group communication and organization easier, but no worries.bird man wrote:What is the target start time.

Great video, Luc & Ethan! Nature has a way of taking back over, eh? We can get another School Creek Work Day going, but first we got the Perry Lake Work Day to knock out!

Re: Sunday September 28: Perry Lake ORV Work Day!
Hey, guys! Normally I'm more vocal and active in promoting this stuff, but I've been really swamped at work and home (mostly 1st World Problem!) I'll be there ready to work. Our brothers over at MoKan Riders are stepping up with a small army ready to come help. I know many of the RideForum.NET commu...

Re: New KTM 350 XCF-W, Like New '12 KTM 690 Enduro R
Nice rides! Your 690 should sell easily. You don't see very many for sale. It seems like they would be an awesome DS. In my opinion (and you know what that's worth), the KTM 690 is one of the very best dualsport compromises available. All dualsport motorcycles are a compromise between comfort on th...

Nope. Haven't seen Troy. Ha! :D I know I've been a bit quiet on the forum(s) lately. Like many of you, I get busy with other stuff from time to time. I may have forgotten how to ride a dirt bike by now. I did just return from a week riding and camping the COBDR aboard my F800GS! AWESOME! http://www....

Cool! That's a lot of KTM dealers for the KC metro---not as many as Honda, but respectable! The options and competition are good.

NEW RideForum.NET web server
I just migrated the site to an upgraded server. The only issue I notice right now is that the default site title and description are showing on my pretty header images, but that's OK for now.
Things definitely feel snappier. Let me know if you have trouble accessing the site.

Re: Helmet for bigger dual sports
Last year, I picked up this popular dualsport helmet from Fly Racing. It tries to be a middle ground between a street and off-road helmet, and does a decent job of it. I think the helmet is very comfortable and relatively lightweight. Believe it or not, even with that visor, this helmet is smoother ...

Re: WHERE to ride
I see you added your bike to your signature. You could goof around a little on the West side with your KLR, and not get in too much trouble but the woods and creek crossings on the East side wouldn't be much fun. Of course it depends on skill and what makes you smile! There is a guy in AR who races...

Re: BILT Explorer Jacket
So it's been a little over a year with the BiLT Explorer jacket. I've used it on a few adventures, so figured I'd follow up. About the durability and warranty First, I did end up ripping the seam on the left upper arm and shoulder. I don't remember the exact impact now, but the jacket definitely sho...
