I plan on leaving around 8 and it should take me every bit or more of 3 hours. If I get there too early it's no sweat, I'll just hang back, have lunch, maybe unload the bike on a road and take off somewhere. Joe: if you're game is in Sabetha and I see it, I may just stop and watch the carnage
everyone come and bring your dualsports and if you get to going around the track faster than you like on the d/s i will let you ride my cr! lets ride!! Dude :!: I would LOVE to ride your CR. My first full-size bike was an '86 CR125. I bought it in '89 from a guy in Ponca City for $300. Still can't ...
I finally got the DRZ back together and took her for a test spin tonight...new shaft seals, chain & sprockets, water pump and thermostat. All is good. The next part I buy will be a KTM 525EXC :!:  I am in for this weekend, bringing a tent for Saturday night. The only problem I foresee is keepin...
As Hayden posted, on the KTM LC4s the sprocket actually puts an oring under pressure to make a seal, although I haven't heard it desribed as near the oil leak that your bike had. More of an automatic chain oiler. Nice feature  The DRZ has a thin metal bracket and two screws behind the sprocke...
I know on the LC4s Kyle that if the Counter Shaft Sprocket is loose the seal will leak. Its the sprocket that keeps it sealed and inplace. T  I don't want to entertain the possibility that I could have just tightened the sprocket nut and been ok! The seals I removed were NOT in good shape so...
Had the same loose counter sprocket nut on my KLX400. If someone in AK hadn't warned me I probably would have rode it right off the bike. The solution suggested to me was to make sure the end of the shaft is really clean. After everything is tightened down, put black RTV silicone on the end of the ...
Another thing that is bothering me: In first month of riding my DRZ, I noticed a "chattering" sound from the engine/transmission area that was escpecially noticeble while riding next to something (like a retainer wall, parked cars, or even another motorcycle. That turned out to be a loose countersha...
I decided to tear into the DRZ tonight to try and solve my oil leak mystery...you'd think I had run the Exxon Valdez into an iceberg the way the oil was running out of her :!: I dropped the skid plate from the bike and while laying on my back examining the bottom of the engine I didn't find any oil ...
Sorry Bro, but You set yourself up and Larry left the door Wide Open! I remember someone commenting last year on how they didn't want to ride Milford in the summer because of all the poison ivy. I think if one stayed on the trail and kept all his clothes on, one would be alright! Wish I could come u...
Troy said: You've got that DRZ dialed in pretty good, bro. Hopefully it's something simple like the drain plug fell out--you forgot to tighten it? Yeah, I got to thinking about that Bro...funny how my bike had no problems until you rode it for 5 minutes...think'n about taking you to court for a new ...
Joe, I initially thought the same thing when they pulled up to the gate behind me... Yeah, Mike....thanks for inviting US!!! :D I wish Erin a speedy recovery so she can "get back on the horse" :!: It was good to see you guys. I haven't had a chance to even look at the DRZ to figure out where the oi...
Well...I'm not going to say what color of panties my V-strom came with, but I will tell you that I am NOT riding tomorrow. I did ride about 70 miles today and the only part I really enjoyed was the ride home...after dark...when it was cool. I've been pretty active so far this weekend and have...
So is 177 a fun and curvy road to take a ride down? Lots of bikes to look at? Too hot this Sunday, but maybe another in the future. I have driven highway 177 from the turnpike to Manhattan literally 100 times or more. It is very scenic and has a few good curvy spots from highway 50 South to Cassoda...
:!: I do believe it's time for a science experiment. Needed parts : 100 ping-pong balls, Super Glue, High speed camera, Troy and his new toy We can glue the ping-pong balls to Troy. Set up the high speed camera and film Troy sliding around on his new bike. If we're lucky we can see the gyro effects ...
Soooooo the very best test is to hop on the bike get going about 60, stand up and do the Macareana dance . If you happen to live thru that, your tires are fine and quit worrying about a little shake. Yeeaaahhh...OK David, if you do that, I'll bring the helmet camera to record the spectacle AND buy ...
I wish I had that You-Tube video two years ago when I re-jetted my DRZ400S :!: That is an excellent video, however, keep in mind it is featuring the Mikuni BSR36 carb found on the S model. Your carb should be the Keihn and is a lot different. I don't have any experience with those carbs so I won't b...
