Riding at Randolph (Tuttle Creek) Saturday December 31st

We are going to be at Randolph ORV all day saturday and the weather forecast looks to be fantastic for the next few days. Our group consists of a couple familys and will be riding a mix of 2 and 4 wheels so if you have something to ride, come on out. Look for a black dodge with white enclosed traile...

Re: Randolph Oct. 8th

I wanted to go scout the new area rumored to be North of School Creek but we had my Niece and Nephew up for the weekend. Rick, I think I saw you and Kim at Randolph. I was on a KTM 400 and my nephew was riding a Yamaha RT 100. I didn't post up anything about riding because it was their first time ev...

Re: Randolph Oct. 8th

Has anyone been out to School Creek lately to see how the water level is??? I know they have finally been letting water out of both Tuttle and Milford but a couple months ago School Creek was still mostly under water. It's been a bummer all summer not being able to ride School Creek.

Re: Recently Posted over at ADV

Just caught myself up on your problem...good to see you've put a few thousand miles on the 'ole WeeStrom!! I agree with some of the other posts. Focus on either the front wheel bearing or the speedo. I would start with the speedo since it is the easiest thing to check, once you remove the fastener i...

I love it! A sportser 883 is relatively lightweight and nimble. I bet I could ride that bike off-road better than a Wee-strom.

Re: Randolph?

I guess nobody wanted to ride! :(
I would have loved to get out on the KTM but I had to spend all weekend finishing packing and cleaning my old house in Wichita over the weekend. I close this weekend then I should be able to ride more often. I am only about 10 miles straight East of Randolph ORV.

Re: Bill and Ted's Wabaunsee Adventure.

Looks like some good stuff, I want to go ride it in a couple weeks after I'm all settled in up here. If we are lucky, maybe we can get a break or two from this intense heat in August. If it is even hotter in August I'm going to start digging a cave to live in.

Re: KLR's & Carburetors Opinions Please

Kawasaki parts manual will list high altitude jets, main and pilot. Pretty easy to change out and the difference in performance is noticeable There's the answer right there! I would run to the bike shop and buy the main and pilot jets, and if you don't already have them, definately buy the stainles...

Re: KTM Clutch fluid...What do most people use?

5 wt. fork oil works fine. Stu Thanks Stu I did my research and found plenty of recommendations on types of mineral oils to use like baby oil, tranny fluid, fork oil, etc.. I was hoping to get some insight on what might be the best alternative to the expensive Motorex Clutch Fluid. Maybe someone us...

Re: KTM Clutch fluid...What do most people use?

Ok then, good discussion. :D I found a quart of regular ATF in the cabinet so that is what I used. My clutch seems to be happier but I didn't have a chance to go out for a test ride. BTW: I rode School Creek Saturday and had a really great time. The weather was nice and cool and there was ...

KTM Clutch fluid...What do most people use?

I need to flush out my clutch (lever) fluid, re-fill and bleed it. I am NOT buying the expensive Motorex fluid from KTM. I am either going to use baby oil or transmission fluid as I have plenty of both on hand. Does it matter what type of tranny fluid is used? I have synthetic ATF on hand. I think t...

Dude, that's funny...I just watched that movie on Netflix Sunday and was going to recommend it to you. It's an IFC film and is a little quirky but very moving. I would probably do the same thing if I was in his situation. Just take off on my motorcycle to clear my head and get my priorities straight.

Jeeesh Savage!....I trust you know him with a comment like that  (even if you were referring to heavy, cumbersome motorcylces) I'd have to have a DR650 and the DRZ400 side x side and take a few measurements first, but I'm thinking it might be possible to modify a centerstand to fit the DRZ?? ...

Curado and I will arrive tomorrow at 10-ish (10:15~10:30). Will you meet in the parking area or just up the rise to the east in the camp area? We want to ride! Stu I like to park to the East...and I wish we COULD still camp there or I would do more overnight trips there with the toy hauler. We want...
