#1. That money looked way to clean! You should have smeared some talcum or or other white powder across the money and ziploc bag. #2 Ask Laura B that if she is going to be up anyway, would she be interested in becoming a flagger or at least baking some cookies for the gang, always hard to find fresh...

No need to pull the battery if you have the Battery Tender pigtail installed, I have one on my 690 and one on my Spyder.

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions
XR-Nut I've been working on a GPS track that runs from Eagleville MO to Willow Springs MO. The idea behind this track is to provide a connection from The Trans-Iowa Trail, to one of the Trans Missouri Trails that will connect to the Trans-Arkansas Trail in Blue Eye MO. I was camping at John Pershing...

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today
Did some car camping this weekend at John Pershing State Park. I was working on a track connecting John Pershing State Park to Graham Cave State Park. https://photos.smugmug.com/12-May-2018-Ride/i-wkB4Kkg/0/59470b5a/M/IMG_0766%20%28800x600%29-M.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/12-May-2018-Ride/i-GXh2X...

Got out on the 690 yesterday for a few hours, no particular track, just went west and starting following any gravel road that looked interesting.

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions
What no pics of the new machine? First thing I would do is disassemble, clean, inspect and depending on condition grease the steering stem bearings, linkage bearings, swing arm bearings, wheel bearings etc. Drain, flush, fill the forks to the correct level. Then start playing with sag and clickers. ...

Cannonshot did a Pony Express ride about ten years ago starting in St Joseph MO all the way to Evanston, Wyoming. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/cannontracks-pony-express-trail-mo-ks-ne-co-wy.388256/ Might want to hit him up to see if anyone has ridden this route in awhile. Maybe connect it t...

Re: The Smackdab Run
I thought of doing this, but riding my Spyder instead of the 690 as it isn't exactly the best bike for covering alot of asphalt. The main reason to do this is because I was stationed at Minot AFB ND from 1985-88 and would like to see what has changed in the last 30 years.

I gotta say kudos to you for at least giving it a try, and the willingness to learn. I have double take mirrors on my 690, https://www.doubletakemirror.com/ As for handguards - Highway Dirt Bike Ultimate Handguards: https://www.highwaydirtbikes.com/ I read somewhere that they now make handguards for...

Since Photobucket changed up their terms of service, I've switched to SmugMug and hopefully these pics will show up. :D At the end of February I crashed my dirt bike fracturing my right fibula and slightly dislocating my foot, doc said it was impressive including the cracks on the tibia, during my d...

Troy, thanks for posting those maps and information. I noticed that MODOT over the last week has put out those mobile warning signs on HWY 50 and HWY 13 cautioning travelers to expect traffic delays on the 21st as numerous people will be heading out to view the eclipse. Small town radio stations are...

If the road is gated or has no trespassing signs across it, I respect the landowners wishes, pull out my paper maps put a red x and a note on the map, and proceed to reroute around it. As for purple paint on trees it could be two different landowners marking opposites side of the road which I have s...
