All,
A huge thank you to Creekside for taking me on my first real off road adventure. I discovered that a Super Tenere can actually do a lot more than I thought it would. I was slow, and very cautious, but it was great. Thank goodness for a very patient riding partner.
You guys are great,
Dave

Re: Min main roads
Where will you be riding on Saturday? I am definitely an amateur off road rider. But, I would definitely ride along if you want someone to join you. 2012 Super Tenere.

Re: Flint Hills
Great advice. Teter rock and surrounding roads were a blast.

Flint Hills
I am heading out to Wichita tomorrow afternoon. I was wondering if anyone had any good advice on what part of the Flint Hills has the best dirt roads to travel? I have never been there and could definitely use some advice.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Mounting new tires
Hello all,
Can anyone recommend a place in the KC area to have tires mounted on my Super Tenere? My wife surprised me with some new heidenaus from revzilla. The dealer wants 150 to mount them. That seems a little crazy to me.
Any recommendations or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Inuvik/Prudoe bay
Have any of you ridden the Dempster to Inuvik? I got the ok from the wife to make the trip. I am looking for advice or words of wisdom. I am just starting to outfit my new Super Tenere for the trip. Also, do any of you have any recommendations for some lengthy gravel/dirt roads to improve my offroad...

Re: New Dual Sporter
Thanks for all the great advice. I made a last minute switch to a Super Tenere. Got a super deal on a leftover 2012. It is sitting in my garage as I type this. I am hoping TARKC does some rides that I might be able to do on on this bike. Well, thanks again.

Re: New Dual Sporter
Gents,
Thanks a ton for all the advice. I am riding the final candidates tomorrow. 2011 DRZ and a 2012 DR. No idea which will win out. Either way, look forward to meeting some of you for rides in the near future.
Guess I need to replace my Euro street helmet and stock up on ibuprofen.

Re: New Dual Sporter
Thanks a ton! I can't wait to get out on the trails.
Any input on a beginner dual sport for more off-road than on? F800gsa, klr650, DR650? I also found a used DRZ400 on Craigslist.
Again, thanks.

New Dual Sporter
Hey folks, I just moved to the KC area. I have ridden all around Europe on a Wee-Strom. Probably 90/10 road/dirt. Having recently returned to the good ole USA I am buying a new dual sport motorcycle. My plan is to start spending more time off road. I have narrowed my choice to the F800gs Adventure, ...
