I had a great time even though my learning curve was huge. Troy - thanks for hanging back with me, showing the "easy" way.... :D I learned a lot and found that it truly is "mostly mental"....... I did stuff I never thought I would and probab...

Truing spoked wheels in KC
I just bought a 2015 Triumph Tiger 800 XCX. I'm getting ready to replace the tires. I have not checked the wheels yet, but if they need to be trued and the spokes torqued, is there anyone in town that you can recommend? Thanks.

Dirt/Gravel Route suggestions
All - My brother is heading into KC the first weekend in June (4-6) with his CRF250L. We were planning on participating in the Flint Hills Stampede and were all signed up until my wife informed me that that Saturday night is our daughter's graduation party. He was looking forward to the Stampede sin...

Looking for warm winter ride recommendations
I have the week between Christmas and New Year's off and am thinking about finding a warm location to ride. Last year at this time, I went to Texas Hill Country. It was fun, but thinking about trying somewhere different this year, but I am open to go back. I'm thinking that about 12 hrs drive is my ...

How long you going to be down there? I plan on heading down the 29th to ride the hill country. I'm meeting a friend the first day or so (30th and 31st most likely).

Re: Mechanic needed for mini truck
Where are the coils located? Sometimes when they start to go bad, they work until they get hot. After they cool down, they start working again. The gas cap idea previously mentioned came to mind as well because you said that it starts back up after a few minutes. Not sure the coils would cool down t...

Re: Potential new rider looking for advice
It may be closer to $3k depending on shipping costs. For the full Level 3 kit, you have to buy Level 2 (suspension) and Level 3 (wheels). http://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/honda-cb500x-cb500f

Re: Potential new rider looking for advice
If you are leaning toward the heavier end (V-Strom et al) you should also consider the CB500x. Many have taken it off-road as is (and some have put on TKC80 tires) or you could go hog wild and put the $3500 Rally-Raid kit on it. It makes it taller with more travel basically. Seems like quite a few K...

I guess my attempt at humor kind of missed a bit. You posted this in the Classified section, not in the Rides section. Maybe Troy could move it for you?

Re: Rally initiation/ rally School Manhattan, August 26th and 27th
Thanks for setting this up Luc. We saw some really neat places and fun roads.
If any of you get a chance to take part in this in the future, DO IT. Three of of us had Adv type bikes (the others were a KLR and a KTM 500) and had a great time. If it gets too tough, there are ride-arounds.
