I'll be arriving Saturday morning with Stu. I have also posted a thread on www.mokanriders.com to see if anyone is interested in bringing their ATV out to lend a hand.

The helmet cam was on and rolling most of the day, including the crash!
Wish I could have stayed longer. Would love to go back and explore some more.

Oh, that this too, too sullied bike would melt, Thaw, and resolve itself into rust, Or that the Everlasting had not fixed His canon 'gainst self-slaughter! O God, God! How weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable Seem to me all the uses of this motor! Fie on ’t, ah fie! 'Tis an airless tire And a loose ...

Wildlands CPR works to reclaim roadless, wilderness study and other important wildlife habitat and connectivity areas from motorized recreational abuse and for quiet, traditional recreation and wildlife protection in Montana. Towards this end, the Montana ORV Coordinator continues to work with orga...

Re: This Saturday looks nice
I believe the day use area is open sunrise to sunset. You have to have a day pass to ride, less than $10 if I remember. No state permits or anything required. Spark arrestor, nothing ridiculously loud, no wheelies in the staging area, helmet required if riding. All the usual rules. They will yell at...

This Saturday looks nice
Weather is looking promising for this weekend! I was thinking of heading out to Finger Lakes, or maybe Perry or Deepwater. Any takers? I can't provide transportation but I can meet someone there.
If I go to Finger Lakes I will probably stay for a better part of the day.

It was nice meeting some good riders! I will try to compile some video highlights tonight or tomorrow. I think some would agree Stu sets a brisk pace

Re: Wildlands CPR: The Dirt
Sigh. I feel compelled to now state my equally unintelligent but witty responses. Dirt bikes and other off-road vehicles drown out the peace and quiet of nature Go to a state park where offroading is prohibited. You will still hear the boats and jet ski's. Better prohibit those too, as they also spe...

Seal savers aren't doing it for me. After 1 ride, lifted them up to find them muddy inside. All the same I'm not really bothered by spending 40 bucks a year on seals.

Re: dB Snorkel
I have a really hard time remembering how loud my bikes are. But once in a while I see somebody ride by. Puts it in perspective when you can hear them coming from miles off (and you don't have a helmet on muffling things).

I think my Honda came with one factory. The YZ didn't though, and when I rebuilt it, the bearings were powdered rust.

Re: Newbie from KC North
Cool. I had the the same kind of problem. I used to ride out at my friend's place on his equipment in Lees Summit (illegally). Then I kinda "changed my ways," bought my own bike and a truck, and pretty soon I was hitting the legal places more often, almost exclusively now. I don't have a trailer but...

Re: BEST OIL THREAD!!!
Good: Honda HP-2 (2-stroke oil) "100% synthetic" works great in the YZ and came recommended from the bike's previous owner. Usually mixed at 32:1. Cheap but not for the track or brand new bikes: Rotella (non energy conserving) for the trans on both bikes, and for the cylinder side of the honda... B...

Re: I got in! Shane Watts Dirtwise school
I could afford it but it would be irresponsible of me right now. Maybe after I don't have a penny of credit card debt left. Gotta stick to my priorities, I'm sure he'll be doing it in a year or two still.
