Re: 7pm Tuesdays: Moto Movies at Motorcycle Closeouts

Tomorrow's movie will be a return to the dirt: One Chance to Win! It's the story of the 1975 AMA 500cc MX championship. Lots of cool footage of greats like Lackey, Weinert, Karsmakers, Distefano and more! Check out the link for more movie info! http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/extras/videos+&+book...

Tonight's movie will be...

"The Doctor, The Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid." It's the story of the inaugural Red Bull USGP as told by Rossi, Edwards and Hayden.

Re: 7pm Tuesdays: Moto Movies at Motorcycle Closeouts

Absolutely!

And I believe that the back room at PS holds about 50 people. If we start getting 300 we might have to start projecting them on the side of the building when the weather gets warmer... :D

Re: 7pm Tuesdays: Moto Movies at Motorcycle Closeouts

Looks like the test run on 1/26 is a go. We're planning on showing "Full Circle: Four Decades of Baja Racing", the story of Malcolm Smith and JN Roberts winning the Baja 1000 in 1967, then teaming up to run it again in 2007 on a Husky TC510. So, if anyone wants to swing by on Tuesday the 26th for so...

Cool, though I guarantee I need more practice than anyone...

Re: Chadwick

Was just there last week. WET, but a lot of fun. The showers are up and working (but no hot water) some problem they are suppose to be working on. You are going to have a great time, wish I could go again, but not this time, maybe next time. It seemed like last time I was there they had routed a lo...

Chadwick 6/15 - 6/17

Well, it's time for me to dust off the old MX boots and hit the trails again. I'm planning to head down to Chadwick on Friday night the 15th, ride all day Saturday, a bit Sunday morning and head back. I haven't ridden seriously off-road in almost 3 years, so the term "out of practice" most certainly...

Best of luck for a speedy recovery, Daryl.

I still think it was kind of funny that KTM refused to lend them bikes for the trip, especially after they were so set on riding them. The series originally aired right around the time the 950 Adventure was released in the US, and it probably would've generated some good press had the bikes lived. T...

I'd highly recommend "Mondo Enduro" as well. Same concept as "Long Way 'Round" except on a shoe-string budget, and on DR350s instead of GS's. Whoa! I've not heard of Mondo Enduro. Do you have the DVD that you'd loan to your best buddy, Troy? Netflix does not have it. http://www.aimimage.com/shop.ph...

Thanks for the info, guys. That answers my question. I have no desire to actually ride the KDX on pavement, but the ability to connect trails via forest service roads in Southern MO and Arkansas would be a plus. I can always take the DR along for those rides though.

Plating a dirt bike in MO?

Any idea how difficult this is (besides just slapping a plate on and hoping for the best!)? I know its possible, but is it too much of a pain to be worthwhile? I mean, I do already have one street legal bike....

This has already happened on a wide scale in SoCal, right? I remember reading something in Cycle News about Jeremy McGrath not being able to even ride on his own land anymore....
